106 Question

I know it helps you hide better, and I noticed at 40 ranks you get a version that obscures your form into a cloud (to the cloud!).

With that said, should I make it a goal as a ranger to get those 40 ranks for a super bonus in hiding? (seeing how the cloud moves room to room with you whereas the fog would just stay).

Sorry for the late night curiosity, we all know how that goes -- right? :P

As far as I know, with 40 ranks, it just hides you. It wears off after 30 seconds and you become visible.

Oh, and it helps you remain hidden, just like the regular version of the spell.

But wouldn't 608 be better? No lore, only 2 more mana and you get the AS bonus.

I wouldn't think it's worth it giving the creatures +30DS for some bonus to hiding.

well what I was hoping for here Kitsun was the ability to put the cloud on yourself, wander into the next room (cloud would still be on you) and you'd have the hiding bonus and they wouldn't have the defense bonus (in theory at least).

Just do what Dhuul said, use 608. +2 mana from 106, but you still get a hiding bonus and an AS bonus
