In my opinion, which may not mean alot to many...But having used all kinds of bows and crossbows alike, you are better off with a Self ammo bow compared to a crossbow.

The self ammo crossbows get nerfed are no longer offer the RT times they once used to. With that being said, realistically the bows are better.

However, I was always a huge fan of my speed crossbows. Flat RT regardless of strength bonus, which meant multiple things, and had a few other "pros" to it. Only downside is it was never self ammo.

But in the debate of self ammo...Go for a bow instead of a crossbow, my opinion
