I am looking to make a character that uses magic items and scrolls to aid him but not looking to learn spells. Thinking of using that as a focus point. Hoping someone could point me to the right place be it a race folder or profession folder.

Rogue is a good bet, rather inexpensive MIU and Arcane Symbol training. Unless you wanna go more physical...Warriors are capable of doing the above as well

Any square can do good with that. I'd go for MIU ranks first and do arcane symbols later.

One last question then I'll move to the warrior or rogue folder, how many ranks in each to make it worth while.

Well the more ranks you get the longer the duration of the item or scrolls you use. About 30-40 is a good place to stop if you want to stop.

My warrior has 40 MIU and it works perfectly for my needs, including 120 items.

If you can find Teffor in game or if he posts here, he does that, and he's actually pretty efficient at it. He might be able to help further.

I don't think he wants to hunt purely with spells via MIU or scrolls, looks like he just said he wants to use it to aid him.
