Good God that's old. I remember buying a set of that off the shelf, was a merchant not far from the North Gate if I remember right. In fact, he was parked in his workshop and I bought a set of his armor off the shelf and had him add more padding a few minutes later. It was about 1m off the shelf though, which was a lot of coins back then. Only set of crit padded full plate I ever owned.

yeah i used to own some way back in the day and would like to get another set, altered or not, but wanted to check price before i went looking.

The difficulty is going to be in finding a set, especially if you want the original description. I would suggest keeping your options open and consider HCP plate. There's plenty of that around.
