Perception has no effect on ambushing from hiding?

Is it 5 rank or 10 ranks to fully train off DS pushdown from 1 extra attacker.

Double checking cause I'm reading various things, and remembering different things from old training plans.

Perception hasn't ever helped with aiming melee weapons (though it does help with aiming ranged weapons). The only skills involved have been Ambush and Combat Maneuvers since the AMBUSH verb was created. Can be read here. http://www.krakiipedia.org/wiki/Ambush_(saved_post)

Yeah, Krakii was where I read it, but I swore for years I thought it was 5, and people suggesting to get 5 MoC ranks. Thanks though

You are thinking of 5 ranks for the extra unfocused target swing.

At 5 ranks, you were able to mstrike 1 extra target, unfocused in the room.

10 was for the extra FoF

Was always thinking FoF, will never mstrike, but yeah I'm sure of being wrong now.

Preception helps prevent against Ambush DS push down? I guess that makes a little sense but didn't know that.

Yea, I tried to to find the post or link, but I believe it was GM Warden that made the change or posted when ambush was changed.

Either way, at 2x perception bandits rarely fail to 100% stance me on the ambush strike (if they get a AS resolution). But I have noticed that do not always get it.

Force on Force is not an "all or nothing" situation.

5 ranks DOES give you benefit over 0 ranks, just not full immunity to a 2nd attacker like 10 ranks does.
