Looking to sell this 10x permabless returning hammer
Reason for sale.
Its purchase was the itch I had to scratch. And having scratched it - with the help of a wonderful potion or two - i've opted for a bow as my third method of attack. Training in a fourth method of attack - and one that realistically will take me a couple of years to perfect - is a little excessive, even for me.
Addendum
Now no longer for sale. God help me.. I am going to train to use it. Will be interesting to see what I do with it in 2015/16

does the looks on a 140m item really matter all that much, alters are a dime a dozen after all. And unless somethings changed there are no returning 2 handers

a spiked vultite war hammer
>l ham
Crafted from a solid brick of vultite, the hammer is pierced with a bloodwood shaft wrapped in an alternating pattern of red and black leather. Curiously, the shaft is slightly curved to allow a boomerang-like trajectory when hurled. The back-spike is tipped in eonake, and sharpened and barbed, and the whole has been polished to a gleaming shine with meticulous care and some good weapon oil. A faint aura of holy light radiates from the hammer.
There appears to be something written on it.
>read hammer
In the Common language, it reads:
Ye Olde Dwarven Longbow
After a careful inspection you determine that a spiked vultite war hammer requires skill in blunt weapons to use effectively.
It looks like this item has been mainly crafted out of vultite.
Sorry no warrior assessment from me. Limited to brawling, ranged, THW and ale.

Thats the kind of weapon i'd fixskills for...especially because of the name...
Do you need to train blunt and thrown to get defense from it?

Yes, you would need to train in blunt weaponry for defense. Unlike thrown weaponry such as bolas, throwning nets, discus, darts and or chakrams which are natural thrown weapons. Unless I am wrong, but I do not think this is the case.

Your eonake throwing axe I believe was the original. The inscription is pretty badass on both instances.

Yep thank god for fixsills potions. I was able to play with this for a while. (wish I'd retained the logs now) I even started bonding with the hammer. But I had to weigh up thrown and blunt training for this hammer versus ranged for my ebow. The ebow won out.
That being said it's not like I am suffering owning it. However I tend to only keep things I am using or likely to use and realistically, with the current options ahead of me, I am a minimum of three years away from being competent to use this again. Just a shame for it to sit in my locker gathering dust. But who knows... Maybe in 5115 (2015) I'll be a claid swinging, sai puncturing, voln kicking, bow wielding, hammer throwing, ale swigging critter spitting badass! Not that I'm wishing my life away but that would be something to see. ;)

I'm removing this from the market. It will be three to four years before I can use it properly now, but I've decided to train in it's use. This is gonna' be interesting...

Do you still have one of the strings?

I believe all the strings have been strung, but I could be wrong. Koops has one? And I have the other two.

Did you finally use them?

Kerl is correct, I do have a string and it has been strung and paladin bonded. End result was a 10x perfect dark ora throwing axe, sanctified with double plasma flares and sunfist heavy crit weighting incase anyone was wondering which angle I went with.

So the weapon before the string was perfect 10x ora handaxe? I am not a pali pro, but the other stuff comes from the bond correct?
Also, what did Kerl do with string #2?
side note: damn Drew and Kerl have sexy ass TWC sets
Heh, and I had no idea that Grim Reaper on here was Koops, did you alter those Tonis boots I sold to you a while back? I love that alter I was able to put on them and would be sad to see it go away.

Yes, all work was done to the weapon pre stringing it. Which included using premium points to take the perfect weapon from 5-10x, then max lightening it and then altering it before finally stringing it. Correct the sanctification, double plasma flares and +5 to strength and wisdom comes from the paladin bond. Am also able to infuse the weapon with a spell because of the bonding. Working on adding some summoning lore to see if I can infuse the web spell into the hurler.
Your previous thumbs up Jesus Arkati alter was pretty comical and I'm sorry to disappoint, but they were altered to something more his taste: a pair of eonake-winged spiked black leather boots heavily stained with dried blood.

String #1: 10x perfect permablessed handaxe.
String #2: 8x ecw handaxe, (that will eventually get to 10x).
And for what it's worth, the temptation to sell string #2 after you guys went to the moon bidding on the Draughtman's string was very hard to resist. Good council from a couple of friends was indeed good council.

I'm just glad the strings all got used, no more temptation to string the lochaber

If that lochaber wasn't the bastard that it is, we would have had some serious discussions.

Pretty sure this wouldn't have worked anyway, due to the switching script.

We had a lot of discussions about this. The theory being that in the case of the lochaber it is a script, and therefore might possibly be removable. I think we both considered it a longshot, but who knows right? Moot point now.

Lochaber doesnt use the standard bastard scripting it predates them apparently
