THW Ranger or rogue?

I need some advice on my next rp character.
I want to play rp a fighting style like a ninja.

So my basic requirements are
- hide & ambush character
- using THW

everything else is fluff.

Do you guys think a rogue would actually be better for this or a ranger?

Ninja = Vanish and Silent strike. Both rogue.
Although Sneaking is a ranger spell and makes you fuck about like a ninja.

I have some thinking to do. RP value wise, I do want to roll something that uses a wakazashi or katana... but i'm having a hard time to decide.

It's either TWC or THW, and both will suffer from RT from the way it looks like it. But if I go TWC, I have the option of just using one weapon....

Futtilo was amazing as a thw rogue. I know Chiv does well as a ranger, but he's got tons of expensive toys. You'd have to ask him about the ranger aspect, but yes. Thw rogues can be extremely awesome.

Edited to add: I also had him twc at one point. Two handers trumped it.

Not gonna lie here, Rogues are pure ninjas. Go Rogue, you wont regret it. Rangers got fucked on CMANS... Fucked right in the butt. However I do play a 2handed ranger, its fun.

This. I'd suggest vanish, evasion mastery, DIVERT, DIVERT, and DIVERT. (Divert is great for making rt not matter. I didn't have that luxury while I was two handed.)

Yeah the cmans rogues get are just much more "ninja" like if that's what you are going for.

The THW rogue is most effective in low-mid levels where you have a lot of hunting areas to choose from. You can really avoid the areas that swarm and have fast creatures. I'm ever-the-advocate of 410, anyway. I don't really think it has much place as a higher level build where you can get absurd weighting from ambush training.

You can skimp on ambush since the DF is massive, it's also easy to up-hunt and deal with creatures with natural padding (this is more where I've done THW).

But as people said, the less ideal a hunting area is, the more you're going to need things like vanish to avoid getting caught in the open.
