I heard two great songs on the radio this morning, "Wayward Son", and "I won't back down", while I was driving, sun on my face.
That just makes my day.

I'm working in a basement below a pharma company, it was dark when I got here, it will be dark when I leave. No radio because it's underground and surrounded by tons of concrete and the net nazis have the proxy killing all streaming radio.
I HATE YOU!

Not to mention I'll be getting off that $70 a month habit once I find the guy whose chain I got ETed up to 6x and give it back to him....it only finished last night, talk about slipping in under the wire.

I'm with you TheE woke up, sun shining down on me, beautiful day, made plans to goto NYC later, walk around, eat, drink, and have fun. I do say, Life is good.

I'll never be the shuffleboard player PB is.
The day is not so good for me. Went to the Pet Store, dropped $180 on a cat that looks like it weighs less than a good steak, and I'm leaving for work in a few hours to deal with cranky old people who want their medication.
EDIT: On a side note, I did go deposit 3 weeks worth of paychecks. That made me smile.

And um...why are you comparing a cat to a steak? <grins wickedly>

I have the worst sunburn of my life and it just may need medical attention. Why? Because I thought it would be nice to sit and talk to my girlfriend for a few hours. EXCEPT IT ALMOST KILLED ME.
But then I played the Pulp Fiction soundtrack and was like, "Wow I rule."
Welcome to the world of doing stupid shit for girls.

They actually TOOK YOU UP on your offer to buy them a cat?
What greedy assholes.
I hope you told them not to let this one wander, or SPLAT!

I had the best night last night. I hung out with my best-friends and friends. Then, I went to hang out with this DJ I met after he did some promotion in RI. I brought my buddy Josh1 and my bestfriend with me. Josh1 whom I use to have a thing with not so long ago got along sooooo well with the Josh2 I'm currently talking to. Then, his other boy Josh3 was there too. It was fun hanging with all 3 Josh's and what's the odds of all of of them being DJ's? So as I was passing out on the couch at 6AM they was all spinning. They got along, I was happy.

From a pet store? You should have said no and offered to get one from a shelter or nothing. That's ridiculous.

They all have day jobs, they do DJing as a hobby cos it's their passion, just like you play GS fuckin' bitch. Before you go ahead and down someone for something they do as a hobby, get your shit straight.

Bob wins. Give them thirty years...they will still be DJ'ing, pot bellied, frosted-haired, wearing an unnaturally tight black t-shirt, hitting on every girl by "inviting them up to the DJ booth".
I don't care if they have day jobs. They are still gay, and the fact that you mentioned that "he's a DJ" plays to your low self-esteem and need to feel needed by the "cool guys" like DJ's. There's a reason why at every club I've ever worked at, if a DJ gets in a fight, the bouncers let him get his ass kicked. I am not a fuckin' bitch, I'm a bitch fucker. Thank you very much.
Once again...without the dick in my ass just for Makkah...they are fucking LOSERS. I wasn't trying to offend you Lalana, but I think now I shall try.

Wow...I'm not offended. I just stick up for my friends. If that's their passion, be it spinning or picking their nose, go for it. Ummm...I never met this dude at a club either. I met him, thought he was pretty cool and laid back. But, for someone to down another person for what they enjoy doing as a past time is fuckin' wack. Go back to blazin' 24-7, cos trying to look down on others isn't working for you. BIATCH.

This is reason enough to try and offend her, Blazing.
And what exactly is the definition of the verb "to down" in the context you used it? I know the colloquial "to down" as in to rapidly imbibe a drink...but I see no reference to a drink in your sentence.
Come on, that shit's so 1997. Learn how to speak correctly. Leaving g's off the end of your -ing words doesn't make you cool.
An example of the above sentence as Lalana would say it: "Come on, yo, that shit's so wack. Learn how to speak correct. Leavin' the g's off the end of yo ing words don't make yo' dumb ass coo."
See? Fucking retarded. Please, fucking stop the gangsta shit. It makes my head hurt. I don't care if you really are a gangsta, if you really DO represent, if you wear Daisy Dukes (also circa 1997), hip huggers, Fubu, and hang out with DJs in clubs....you're on a BB for Gemstone IV, a roleplaying medieval fantasy game....you're not gangsta.
(And I've gone so long without saying this shit....being honest does really make one feel better.)

[Edited on 6-13-2004 by TheEschaton] Im sorry I have to say this but the language represented in Lalana's post IS NOT GANGSTER- GANGSTA or whatever you wish to call it. It's just not. You tell her to learn how to speak yet its cool to be LEET and totally chop up words that already require little to no time to properly spell out. Come now. I've seen and heard worse. True thugs hustling on the corner do not even speak that way, some maybe, but defintely not the majority. After all, they deal with white customers too who they have to communicate with in order to sell their product.

Okay, so what would you consider 'street language'? I consider street language just that, street, not gangsta. I know its hard to correlate a difference, but there is one. Just ask Tony Soprano.
I do agree with TheE's assessment that speaking that way just sounds plain "retarded".

Are you serious The E and Blazing? Actually I wasn't trying to sound "GANGSTA". For me to come in a GS forum and try to claim something would be pretty damn stupid. It's just called slang, however should you ever speak to me personally, my pronunciation is normal, aside from my Boston accent. And this coming from someone that has a board name of Blazing247, oookay hommie. Other than that both of you don’t pay my bills so I don't have to worry how I come off both of you, let alone how I spell my words in a damn forum.
Oh and E, get me vexed enough and I won't yell at you like, "How dare you criticize my friends..." I'll bitch you out to the point where you wouldn't get a word in. And however it comes out of my mouth is how it comes out of my mouth. I just don't appreciate people trying to call my friends a loser when they DON'T know shit about them. Who the hell are you to label someone that when you don’t even know them?
Anyway, I posted on how my day rocked. Not for both of you dick heads to rain on my parade. Take that mess somewhere else. :fu:

I didn't say your friend was a loser. I said all DJ's are losers.
< I'll bitch you out to the point where you wouldn't get a word in.>
Heh, doubtful. Some chick tried this last night, and I walked away from her in mid-sentence. Damn, she was pissed. Angry chicks are always good for a laugh. Thank you for a laugh.

I'm not angry, that would take a lot. I just don't appreciate that. You saying ALL would include them. Just cos they have a passion for music and beats doesn't make them a loser at all. It's just something they enjoy doing when they have time, so no one has the right to say anything about it.
P.S. I don't care what your real name is or how you ended up with Blazing.

Sure thing HN. My day today has been great. Woke up at 11:00, had a little brunch at the restaurant with a real cute waitress who digs me, came back, played guitar for a few hours, and now I'm sipping some Guinness and will soon be watching UFC reruns with my roommates.
That is how a Sunday should be spent.

My mother's paranoid that I'm going to die in the jungle or some shit like that and she insisted on shopping with me, and I ended up getting crap she determined I "needed"....all on my dollar too. Uh, I think I can determine whether or not I need a one cup coffee maker, thank you very much. Where the fuck am I supposed to plug it in? My ear?

Seriously let the bickering go no more last responses let it go.
That being said I had a pretty good day. Left for NYC at around 8 last night, met up with one of my best friends and her roommate. Went to the movies. Met a bunch of people at a small club afterwards. Drank and had fun. Crashed in NYC. Woke up this morning to breakfast being made. Went to central park for the afternoon with her and her roommate. Walked around people watching. Went to the Puerto Rican Day Parade for awhile which was a good time. Went back to the park. Had lunch. Walked around the city and came home a couple hours ago. Was just an all around fun and nice weekend.
