seeking THWs

Not sure exactly what I want.

I've been hunting shan the last couple of weeks and it's a lot of fun. I don't use my main weapon because of the warrior disarm.

I've been using a critter found steel claidhmore, but I lost it last night. So now I'm looking for something nice, but replaceable. Probably in the 200-300k range.

Crit weighting is probably preferred over enchants/flares, but I'm just not savvy enough about the economy to know whether my budget will buy anything nice.

I suggest just using a cheap 4x maul with some sort of flare as a throwaway weapon. Save your coin for your main weapon.

I have a pretty decent main weapon, so I don't need to save coin.

I'm using a 4x maul (no flares though) right now (since I lost the claid), but I feel like I want something a little nicer.

I just came back a couple of weeks ago so I don't really have a firm grasp on what's available.

Is there an off the shelf weapon that I should be looking for? Are player shops my best option here?

The Spitfire sold a collection of flaring mauls, and one with swdw (lol). Check Nilandia.com for them (look for "a crimson drakar maul with a willow haft" or something to that effect -- that was the fire-flaring one) and then cross-reference the playershops database to see if any are for sale.

Well, I guess it depends on how expensive a weapon you can afford to lose. I suggested the 4x flaring maul simply for value purposes. All around, it's a very cheap but very effective throwaway.

Briar's suggestion was good for off the shelf stuff. Twohanders (and really all weapons) off the shelf don't come with crit weighting these days. Hell, outside of claids, the last few I can think of are the damage mauls and hcw greataxes. Both will run 8m+.

If you want something more than those two suggestions, searching playershops for random weapons around what you want to spend is your best bet.

Ah. I did forget to mention the random treasure-generated items. You probably could find a temp weighted twohander fairly cheaply. Playershops are going to also be your best bet for that since they'll come varied.
