Haven't played the class since like 93/94 I assume there have been some changes and hell... I also cant remember much about that time

Currently level 11 so experience still exceptionally limited

First up Armor:
3x or 2x? Seems to be mixed input
at 3x you can get into a MBP pretty early but it sacrifices either another weapon type or regular ambush training from what I can tell.

Ambush: 1x to 25?
MoC: 1x?

Sure I'll have more when I hit 15.

skills currently
3x armor
2x PF/THW/CM
1x MOC/Dodge/Survival/FirstAid/Perception/Climb/Swim
probably going to cut off climb and swim at 15 for a while
5 ranks HP for Sunfist

Thanks!

You may want to train more than 1x in dodge.

Suppose I can drop the First Aid and Survival always wanted a char that could actually skin heh.

There was no dodge for most of the time that I trained Jonty, so I'll let someone else chime in on its importance at lower levels. At higher levels, I'm pretty sure 2x is the way to go with a THW warrior.

I'm sure you can survive at 1x dodge if skinning and 3x armor is important to you.

Ditch ambush training entirely till later. Stick those points into 2x dodge. You can also do without MOC. It's nice, but at early levels, when time in RT can get you killed more easily since you have no redux, picking the right time and location to strike is more important than multiple strikes. You can also cut back some on first aid, perception, climb and swim until you have more levels and are getting more TPs.

I think you could do 3x armor, 2x dodge/THW/CM/PF without any problems.

Take weapon/armor upgrades as quickly as you are trained for them, as low level weapons are dirt cheap these days anyway, and crazy weird enhancive armors end up in the treasure feeder all the time and you could probably get some good ones of those for cheap too: things like 3x temp mdp brig; the temp part will last longer than you need it to before you move up to chain class armor. The same applies to low level enhancives that add just +1 or 2 in various skills. They're so cheap right now that you can probably get a handful of them for 35k apiece.

I've got a 4x Bubble Greatsword Bonded to him now really happy with the Damage Padding flares kind of surprised.

Having no trouble clearing warcamps - gonna switch up to a hcp chain shirt since I have one was using some 4x fusion brig.

Yeah I can 3x armor and 2x the rest if I leave out the frills

Go with his advice. Diverge later.

I had 1x dodge until cap, preferring to keep MOC between 1.5x and 2x depending on the threshold I was at. I didn't have too much trouble, though I had HCP for a while then HDP plate.

Depending on your access to spells, I think you can be ok with 1x dodge which frees up a shit load of points compared to 2x.
