I doubt this thread will catch on, but I still think it is worth a try because some comments on sites such as CNN and what not are absolutely priceless. Post any insightful/funny/etc comments you see on the interwebs here for everyone's viewing pleasure.

I'll start the list with this gem of someone posting THEIR review of the Walking Dead: Secrets episode after being upset with IGN's interpretation. (Original article can be found here: http://tv.ign.com/articles/121/1212489p1.html )

(8.0-Great) Rating- Really??? This critic must have either: 1) seen a director’s cut I wasn't privy to...or 2) is making nasty w/ one of the writers. Both would be a logical explanation for such a blatantly bias review. Its only fair that I defend this notion, so I've provided some casual observations as to why the my former 2nd fav show (behind Thrones) has gone "Heroes 2.0".

1. [SECRETS DON’T MAKE FRIENDS] secrets known w/in the "Zombie Survival Club" are held for about the same amount of time as the Walkers allowed Otis a head start. They are announced over the farm intercom system; and the person it concerns will be given a concentrated dose of morality to "suggest" the proper course of action. You can't even take a dump in a field for the purposes of fertilization without Glen telling Old Man River; Old Man River telling everyone else.

2. [DAYS of OUR ZOMBIE LIVES] when did Zombie World become daytime soap? 59.50 minutes whining about the most trivial BS, before sprinkling in a couple zombies bits cuz the show has “Dead” in the title. Perhaps this is why the zombies want their drama snacks...just to get these winy little bitches to shut up. If I have to hear another speech about how hard it is to get by, I might just go turncoat and root for the corpses. Only Soaps have the ability to broadcast several months of episodes where nothing happens. Let me try summing up the season.
"They go to a farmhouse. 1 kid almost dies. The other gets lost. Everybody then complains how much it sucks to be winners of Billion to 1 Golden Ticket for human survival."

3. [MISSING-Girl] didn't care about this thread in the 1st Ep; feelins for it only diminished with time. Call it Social Darwinism. How difficult is it for a child to stay put when told by Sheriff/Leader/Father-figure. Even if she had to leave her hidey hole, surely she would have had the sense to head back the way she came or at least leave…Apparently not.

4.[FATHER of YEAR] "honey, do you mind if I take our creepy son in the zombie filled forest to look for missing WT-girl?"...
"OK, so that last idea might have gotten our son shot & Otis killed; but creeper now wants me to teach him shooting. Don't worry about the gun, he grabbed one when I wasnt looking & put it in his pants. He's responsible enough; I gave him my cowboy hat."

5. [EVIL FARM]- PLZ explain why they are staying (other than its in the comics) when: i.) NO GUN POLICY- (zombie apocalypse) + (Georgia)= "Good Time w/ Guns"... anyone else think this rule is a no-go???
ii) ZOMBIE BARN- of which Glenn & Gramps decide this is a secret they should keep (see #1);
iii) NO ASIANS INSIDE MY DAUGTHER POLICY- by farm leader…(pretty obvious why this might be issue)
iv) REAL ESTATE IS FREE- just gonna take a stab in the dark and assume that farm land in Georgia is even cheaper than Subprime Crisis Land of the present day. Rick...make your own farm with your own zombie barn (or not) & cool fortifications.

That Walking Dead summary is hilarious. I don't mind the lack of zombies in some episodes though because I enjoy the human element of being the few left.

This review is from: GoodYear 045 3/8-Inch-by-50-Feet Safety Yellow Rubber Hose 3/8 -Inch by 50-Feet 250 PSI With 1/4-Inch Ends (Tools & Home Improvement)
The advantage to this Goodyear hose is that it is made out of industrial grade rubber instead of vinyl. What that means is that when you are using it instead of being stiff like vinyl it remains soft and flexible, so it lays flat on the floor. This is especially a problem in colder temperatures. It's great for coiling as well, it doesn't fight you.
The real frustration of using a vinyl hose is that it can stand up while moving across the floor, high enough to snag on things, or even pull something onto the floor. The hose is in a coil, then instead of simply uncoiling, the vinyl has a memory and wants to look more like hoops moving over the floor.
This hose comes in 3/8" which is the most popular size. The 1/4" hoses restrict air flow, which is especially important over a 50 foot run.
All in all highly recommended. The advantages are worth it even if it was twice the price.

Not really a comment but one of the funniest things I have read in a long time. A snowblower kijiji ad that went viral in my little part of the world

http://moncton.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-tools-equipment-11HP-29-Snowblower-W0QQAdIdZ332915918

"Do you like shoveling snow? Then stop reading this and go back to your pushups and granola because you are not someone that I want to talk to......"

Keep reading! Click the link and laugh!

This thread is on par with the Howling wolf craze. I found it on accident while looking for something else. It is for a $1000.00 HDMI cable, to give you an idea of its awesomness. Here is a sample of a review:

It was during my 32nd viewing of The Phantom Menace that I began to lament the disservice of Jar Jar Binks. A phenomenal portrayal, my tv doesn't do the character justice. I needed more. Perhaps, I thought, it was my HDMI cable that was the culprit. Yes, I knew it was. I needed a cable that could faithfully relay the Gungun dialect with its delightful linguistic playfulness. I needed a cable that could realize in true definition Jar Jar's floppy ears and big teeth, his Steven Tyler-ness so to speak. Off to Best Buy it was.

Having arrived, I was in awe of the cable selection. There were tungsten/graphene alloy plated HDMIs and barnacle-encrusted VGAs with optional gold leaf insignia. But then I saw her, the AudioQuest Diamond 3.3 HDMI cable in Dark Gray/Black for the measly price of $1059.99. I snatched it as if it were the last scrap of food in the world. Looking furtively around at other customers I sprinted to the cashier and paid, but it felt like stealing.

At home, I plugged her in. I was brought to tears as Jar Jar came to life on the screen. His performance was even more magical than I had ever dreamed. After watching Phantom, I popped in Lord of the Dance to see if there was a noticeable difference with 3D. What happened next was indescribable. The images began to slip into 4 dimensions. I could now watch as the Irish dancers pranced back in time to Cretaceous period where they were eaten by Velociraptors. Then the Velocirapotors began doing an Irish jig and were transported back on stage with the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show. Then they ate Ringo.

I am currently using my cable to perform self-surgeries with some modest success. All in all, money well spent.

What's great about it: Paradigm-shifting, Enlightenment, Down-the-rabbit-holey
What's not so great: Doesn't come in Light Gray/Black

I would recommend this to a friend!

There are 10 pages of reviews, all 5 stars aside from 2 for this cable.

Wizards (6-22) actually won, but it still wasn't good enough for this fan

Do the Wizards players know that Papa Johns is offering 50% off when they win and score 100 points? With 5 minutes to go yesterday, they had 96 points and I was already salivating over half off pizza. Alas, they couldn't be bothered to get just 2 more freaking points [final score 98-77] for their long suffering fans.

From a Digg user about a Slate article speculating on how Obama pulled a fast one on the GOP over the contraception issue.

http://www.slate.com/blogs/xx_factor/2012/02/10/obama_riled_up_republicans_on_contraception_and_th en_delivers_a_knock_out_punch_.html

If this was his intent, that was a pretty smooth move.

I paraphrase:

Obama: Birth control should be free for employees of religious based organizations

GOP: What? Are you nuts, that's imposing on religious beliefs. You Muslim Kenyan commie!

Catholic Church: That's right! Contraception is evil even though 99.9 % of women used it. Just abstain from sex. Just say no. STOP ALL THAT LAUGHING!

Insurance companies: Uh..we're cool with this. Babies cost a s**t-ton of our money. We like our money and want to keep it.

Obama: OK, OK, stop all that bitching. Religious based organizations don't have offer free birth control, but, the insurance companies should be allowed to contact ladies directly. Religious based employers are off the hook.

Catholic Church: YaaaY! We win!

Insurance companies: Yes *you* won..(snickers). Time to print some literature saying "Babies cost money! Let us tell you about this cool thing called an IUD. Its Free! Get your party on". Get me the mass mailing department!

Ladies: Wait.. contraception is free? *snaps fingers*. Obama 2012!

Obama: I compromised for the good of all Americans (snickers).

GOP: What just happened? Why is Ashton Kutcher laughing over there?

Regarding Derek Fisher mysteriously not yet reporting to the Rockets:

Goon-
The best way for Derek Fisher to help his team win is to not show up. So he's doing them a favor.
