Ok so like.. if your a gemstone addict like me with a very busy scheduale ontop of it.. and/or sick of payin for tanning booths that burn your skin? God i'm gonna sound horrible.. but i bought this Neutrogena Build-a-tan gradual sunless tanning lotion.. and it works GREAT the first time i put it on i didn't notice anything.. then i put it on again.. and got a lil darker.. and like.. it actually looks GOOD and it was only like 7 bucks and its so super i'm recommending it to YOU... so if your pale and pasty... 7 bucks can change it!!!

Won't that stuff stain your clothes if you sweat a lot?

I don't tan, unfortunately, being already dark.

But hell, at least I'm never gonna get skin cancer.

(I added that cause I just saw it for the first time)

I have the worst farmers tan right now from playing golf and baseball and stuff outside with a shirt on.. It's so funny the first few days on the beach for me when my arms and neck are tan as hell but my chest and all is so white.

I got a spray-on tan in one of the booths where you stand there nekkid. It looked great, but wait a day before wearing white clothes.

Always knew you were a redneck.

Keep it up with the fake tan if you feel the need to be dark. Women with fair skin shouldn't go under the sun.

My tan > TheE's tan.

I defy trends, but this thread isn't about how much better my hair is than yours. Its about tanning. I stand by my tan is better. But I shall go purchase some spray on tan. My curiousity is getting the better of me.

I tan easily so I wouldn't consider tanning products. I especially wouldn't do it unless there was a natural way for me to do it, like being outside and soaking up the sun while having fun.

I won't intentionally tan. I don't understand the hubbub. My friend who's Greek goes to a tanning salon every summer. Living in New England, it just seems to look unnatural to have this dark tan but he insists on it.

Tanning beds or the sun, they're both harmful to the skin. I'm not sure what tanning lotions are like but I can't imagine putting something on my skin to alter it like that. I'm very particular about my skin and it's not something I'm into.

Personally, Jenisi, I think you would look best with your new black hair and fair skin. You're not very light skinned, so it looks nice now. Getting really tanned will look weird, but that's just me.

Since I can't tell if you're joking around or not (damn internet), I'm not really a farmer. Heh, farmers tan is just an expression.

You most likely were kidding around, in which case I did find it funny.

I am so white I glow in the dark and I burn/tan real easily. Just before my engagement party, I was outside for a while and got a shirt sleeve tan on my arms, augh! And I had a strapless dress, too.

We did some quick experiments on my stomach with tanning stuff since I'd never used them before.. and let me tell you, that Neutrogena stuff turns DARK. I even used the lightest possible.

Out of three, Neutrogena Build-a-Tan, Banana Boat VitaSkin, and L'Oreal Sublime Bronze (Light-Medium), the Banana Boat was the lightest so you might wanna try that first. And it smelled nice. Kind of sugary. And it made my skin really freakin' soft. Although I'll probably never use it again 'cause I'm lazy and I really don't care that much about a tan ('cept for the one time because we wanted it to be perfect) I still recommend the Banana Boat one.

Good luck!

All self tanning lotions turn me a nice shade of bright orange. I have tried Neutrogena and nope, still orange. A friend of mine tried the same product and looked great.

It's not easy being orange.

That stuff isn't turning you orange? I don't have very much success with the self-tanners because they turn me orange. I don't have very fair skin and when I go out into the sun I usually burn then tan.

I don't look SO bad now...basically because I've been driving with my top down for the last two months but now that it's 110 outside I'm closing it up for the air conditioning.

Alright, Banana boat and Neutrogena? Which would be better for the money spent?

Edited because I said "So..." like 5 times in one sentence.
