You do realize that an offer of 275m was turned down for the last one?

For a mech quiver? You're shitting me. Better off buying an ebow.

Can't lose a mechanical quiver and you can change spells whenever you want. Doesn't take too long to make new arrows and faewood is pretty cheap. Sure it's not a bottomless quiver, but it does pretty well.

^. 275m is about what I sold my 4x blessed/flaring quiver for ($2k).

Do the arrows generated flare after successful hit? Can the arrows accept 702 for disruption flares and 118 or web flares?
We're talking about a bottomless mech-flaring arrows quiver and not a duplication quiver, right?
Is most of the price demanded for these quivers due to the fact that you can't lose them or due to the awesome stuff they can do (bottomless, flare stuff)? I'd love to get my hands on one some day but I'd be worried about disarm being nerfed. Is there any discussion at all regarding eventually nerfing disarm to protect high end weapons (a bow in this case)?

My friend and I tested pretty extensively. It takes every bolt spell except the 1700's. 702, 705, and 720. Also takes 110, 118, 609, 304 for permabless, and I am sure I am forgetting some. You can change the spell at anytime by casting at the quiver while worn.

My old quiver (like Kitsun's) is bottomless. The mech quivers require that you put arrows shafts in them, with fletchings or glue or whatnot, and then it turns them into arrows when you crank it. They let you avoid most of the hassle of fletching, and you can imbue the arrows with flares from nearly any spell, but they lack, IMO, a lot of the functionality of the bottomless quivers. You still have to deal with gathering and bundling the arrows and you do, of course, run out.

does it make masterfletched arrows? +1x to enchant of the wood/arrowheads?

I want to say no, but I could be wrong. They also only work once if not on the player with the quiver.

Just a non breakable version of those merchant rechargable quivers then. I see, thanks for the info.
Although it's pretty awesome, I am surprised it is worth 275m+.
The bottomless quivers I can understand are.

Lets see she was offered 275 million yet she pulled her sales on her quiver and bow because she couldn't afford a self ammo ranger bow? why in the world wouldn't you take the 275 million?

I never would have pegged a mech quiver at 275m. I found the value in bottomless quivers to be getting rid of fletching and arrow management. Why pay that much just to have to go through all that crap anyway?

I have a lesser mechanical quiver that of course is broken now. You pretty much can cast every offensive wizard spell at it to absorb and it will take, I.E Boil earth, Major shock fire/fire/cold, Immolation, and cone of lightning. I could not get rangers spells to stick on it, I.E spike thorn.
On mine, the enchant of the arrow was dependant on the wood of the arrow, so you have to put the master fletched ones in it.
And correct the flare will fall off fast if you hand them to someone else.

just curious, what was the two quiver that went out during the last Ebon Gate? I can't find the teaser post the GM posted about them anymore :(

I did exactly that, except the 2 bottomless bolt quivers are heavy crossbow bolts. Spent a bunch on the 6x speed crossbow too.
Its fun for sure, but I simply preferred my longbow (Uska ebow) and sold them off for other things I was using.
And by fun, you can haste fire in 2sec (aimed), and 4sec non hasted. Its quite fast, simple macro to wave quiver, load, fire. The speed crossbows were a great boon (and of course, a great idea) for it.
Its how it gets when your in the high end of the gear train, you get something, use it, get bored, go after something new.
Why I am working on my runestaff now (still depressed I didnt get a perm device) but at least i got one, and adding flares to it next. It is already 10x. Bought that boatload of prem points to take the 4x masterful brig to 7x. Wish they'd do a resistances merchant again and try to make something epic. Its not the scout armor, but I'm going to get it close to it. :) I find fun in making new stuff. Go figure, right?

I owned one of the perm mech quivers, and if anything it was only worth around 30mil at the time. 275mil? heh

eh if its a gnome that owns the staff I think its better breakable. from what the merchant said they do not require a merchant to repair them. you just find a gnome or even try to fix them yourself, but gnomes saposadly are best at it. think its better for RP that they break, specially as a gnome. get a few springs from your boxes and when it breaks whip em out and fix it. be like tinkering with it. I think someone said you can even care for the staff when its not broken to keep the springs from breaking for longer?
