Runestaff Charms

How do these work, exactly? Can I put more than one on a staff? When it's on, can I simply INVOKE the spell while holding the runestaff? Do they crumble? Can they be charged with 714, or by any other method?

I have a ton of these things, and don't really understand how they work. Nothing I was able to find on Krakii either.

You can put 5 or 6 on one staff at a time. I think they all start at 20 charges, but can't be recharged once on a staff. And yes, you just invoke them off the staff like a normal scroll.

I never could figure out how to put charms on my runestaff. I just figured my staff was for some reason unable to hold charms. Do you just "put charm on runestaff"? Does it matter if your runestaff is older (10 years), Altered, and/or zested?

I don't know if alteration is an issue, but I think scripting would be. The staves you put them on have to be pretty plain-jane since it's basically adding a script to them.

I believe the shop that sold the charms said no zested staves.

What they all said, but I'll add that flares don't matter. I was able to put these on my flaring staff with no issues.
