Great flares. I was lucky enough to get them on a set of my armor over EG and they tend to have higher stun and knockdown rates than other sets of flared armor I own.

Every armor flare works with cmans so long as it's armor that covers the part of the body the cman uses.
It has worked that way since armor flares came out.

Not true, some are strictly reactive and only flare when you get hit.
Some work for both cmans and react.
My full plate definitely does not work on tackle, headbutt or any other the other cmans I can do.

Are you wearing a helm over your fullplate?

Headbutt isn't a good cman example I guess, but I have tackled with this plate countless times and the flares have never gone off on a critter - other than as a reaction to melee (and ranged) attacks.
They are also apparently player friendly.
yeah, they all seem to be player friendly. I think even in shattered?

Huh, that did it. I learned something new today..
I didn't realize gauntlets would neutralize the flares as I pictured the breastplate/shoulder also touching, for both tackle and bearhug.

Any armor piece covering the main torso armor stops the flares/spikes from working. If you have overlapping flared pieces, the flare from the top armor piece will activate.
