One of my room mate's friends was here last night and he was lookin at porn on my laptop. Today I have had several problems with it.

Earlier today there was a few minutes while I was online when no matter what I clicked on I got transferred to porn sites (I was trying to view these forums at the time) and I kept thinking perhaps the site had been hacked.

Well, after a short time, the links started working properly again so I thought nothing else of it. But then, my room mate got online this afternoon and suddenly this program called Stripsaver starts running, and installed a strip show screensaver. I ran a search on Google but could only find promotions for the Stripsaver but no way of removing whatever is on my computer that put it there in the first place.

Does anyone have any clue how to remove whatever program is hiding in the background?

I removed Stripsaver from my registry already, but I want to get rid of everything. There are no unusual programs running when I look in the processes tab of the Task Monitor. PC-Cillin could detect no viruses either, and I do have the latest definitions.

Any ideas?

Yes, this should remove it: Don't let people look at porn on your computer.

Welcome to the wonderful world of spyware. Get Spybot- Search of Destroy. It will get rid of all that crap.

Well excuse me for watching movies while he "checks his email". The bastard. Besides, that won't remove it, that only solves a future problem.

Ok on a serious note:

Go to www.lavasoftusa.com
Get Ad-Aware. It's like.. the best. They have a free version. Let it run and it will clean out your entire system (Registry and all) of all spyware, adware, etc.

Well, there were tons of registry changes and files removed, about half of them were Sex Tracker and Dialers... Some were Gator and Media Player stuff though. Hopefully that takes care of the problem.

What did you run to make you aware of the registry changes? Ad-aware?
