It's probably posted here somewhere, but I'm too lazy to fight with the search function.

Anyway...if I were to pick up some CMAN training for disarm to minimize my chances of getting disarmed, how much training would be optimal before it becomes a TP waste, assuming it's not a waste from the start? It's been a while since I messed with it so I don't really even remember how many CM ranks = 1 CM point, or if it diminishes, etc.

I currently have 5 ranks of CM which is good for 2 ranks of Disarm. Is disarm worth maxing out? I seem to remember hearing 5 ranks is easy to pick up and good to have, but don't remember if they were referring to CM ranks or Disarm ranks.

I don't really get disarmed much, but it's really annoying when I do because it almost always happens .00000001 seconds after haste drops. And then the shit usually hits the fan.

60 ranks in CM lets you have rank 5 disarm. That is what I have.

How much of a difference does it make? Enough to be worth it for all those TPs?

Each rank is equal to +15 defense on the roll, so +75 at rank 5.

Five CM points will only allow you to train to Disarm Weapon, Rank 1. You need 12 CM points, as a pure, to train Disarm Weapon, Rank 2.

Pure Cost:

Rank 1: 4 CM points
Rank 2: 8 additional CM points (12 cumulative)
Rank 3: 12 additional CM points (24 cumulative)
Rank 4: 16 additional CM points (40 cumulative)
Rank 5: 20 additional CM points (60 cumulative)

So, as Buckwheet said, 60 CM points for Rank 5.
