Watching it, really starting to like it. At first it seemed a bit ho hum. It does suck to know it was originally written for an Israeli soldier and is just adapted to be a US one.

Until this last episode I thought that Brody would end up being the protagonist, but now I'm definitely scrapping that theory.

Also, it's clear that the CIA has a mole (call to college professor's wife tipping her off that Carrie was tailing her husband). I just can't figure out who it is. Saul maybe?

Eh I enjoyed that movie as much as Serenity. She was in Terminator 3 which is major points against her along with Romeo and Juliet. Firefly and V outweigh that.

Besides Homeland, the only thing she has done that I enjoyed was Home for the Holidays. But that is more epic Holly Hunter than Danes.

Edit: This series I think I would find her annoying, but Damian, Morena, and Mandy pretty much make the series for me. I love Band of Brothers and Life with Damian, Firefly and V with Morena, and who can't forget Princess Bride and Dead Like Me with Mandy. Dane's role could be played by anybody. I wish the black CIA guy was being played by the Allstate commercial guy and former president of 24. That is just another role that blends into the background.

I stopped watching for a while but I am on episode 8 now. I find it completely accurate on a governmental and military level. The only inaccurate thing that I can see is a CIA analyst acting like a total retard and fucking up her relationship with her target. But love does that, I guess.

I'm going to agree with Gomer Pyle.

Homeland makes me frown. The female operative is ridiculously unstable. The proposed villians are left unchecked, as if nobody is watching those things about them. And there's not enough vague government nobodies doing boring nobody things in bad ugly suits. I tried but it's like watching The Girls Next Door...I kept going "That wouldn't happen irl!!". I'll call it art. And I'll call everything that makes me frown about it artistic abandon.

OK, I just watched the entire series and I have to say that I went from thinking the show was meh for the first couple episodes, to liking it for a few episodes, to hating it, to liking it again (realizing that they had to do the last episode as a rediculosity to appease the Showtime gods and get it a second season). Second season starts at the end of September, right? I'll give it another shot. Its no Game of Thrones, but I'll take it.
