Life has changed again, dealing with some health issues and thinking of playing casually to pass the time I don't feel like being very social. Anyone happy with the sorcerer profession progress over the past 2 years? Did anything good ever happen with alchemy? If not, I suppose I could work on capping.

Thanks, not doing trapeze right now. Maybe in the future if I move somewhere with a better rig. The management was such a joke, and since my life was literally at risk if they were incompetent, I walked. People do not go to clown college because they want to be put in positions of responsibility. I've lost 2" on my lats in the past year.

Sorc in general hasn't changed much, minor changes to hybrid CS, and no Baelfire yet or the changes to Curse/Nightmare. Possibility is there though and an interesting current storyline that seems may have a sorc tie in. Runestaff changes to add flares and a wand option are also interesting.

Sucks. But I presume you at least enjoyed it while you were there - at least it seemed it from your previous postings here.. so that is good - up to the point where you no longer felt safe anyway..

I think they make pills for that now..

Guess that means we get no more wicked pics of you flying through the air randomly..

yeah, there was definitely a breaking point I don't want to go into, but since I left 3 more people had shoulder surgery, 2 others who had surgery while I was there will never fly again, and a student bounced off the trampoline and fractured some vertebrae. I had warned them about getting an Olympic quality (super bouncy) trampoline when we had fat students who had no aerial experience.

Still not sure about GS. I may give it a month and see how much I actually log in. I'm guessing Psinet is dead and I'd have to figure Lich out.

so I activated to go to the Twilight thing, and about 5 min after I get off the phone with billing they post about delaying it.

And remember to replace whatever they strip off with those damned crystals. Animates are actually pretty useful for bandits as well...and DB items...and Shadowdeath Vambraces. That, and haste imbeds and scrolls. Bandits are tough!

Here's how you hunt bandits as a ranger:


Get ambushed/trapped. Wait for stun/RT to wear off while spamming 619. Repeat if still alive.

This is how I hunt bandits:

You trace an intricate sign that contorts in the air while forcefully invoking Balefire...
Your spell is ready.
You gesture at a human thug.
You hurl a ball of greenish-black flame at a human thug!
AS: +373 vs DS: +196 with AvD: +41 + d100 roll: +69 = +287
... and hit for 132 points of damage!
Explosive burst wreaths the human thug's back in shimmering blue flames!
The human thug is stunned!
A winding dingy maroon abyran'a shudders slightly as chaotic energy is drawn from its form and fused with the attack.
(Your dingy maroon abyran'a loses 2 mana.)
... 70 points of damage!
Heart explodes rupturing the human thug's chest.

doesn't that use spirit? I don't use the spirit draining signs except for wracking and healing on emergencies

It does, but 20 DS is nothing to sneeze at, and at anything higher than about 30th level, it will last the entire hunt and more
