Inspect:

After a careful inspection you determine that a fine ash cornett requires skill in horn-type instruments to play effectively.
The ash cornett must be played with two hands.

Loresong:

As you sing to the cornett, your melody evokes various impressions from the ash. The smell of almonds drifts past, and the image of a crumbling tower forms briefly before your eyes. In the tower's doorway, you observe a plump dwarven man admiring his newly crafted ash cornett. The fragile vision dissolves almost as quickly as it came.

Your magical song delves into the nature of the cornett, evoking the image of a scrawny half-elven man. The man is somewhat tipsy and is garbed in spring hues. Wind sweeps savagely over a barren plain as the half-elven man wheedles the ash cornett from the same dwarven man that you observed before. The sound of an auctioneer exhorting a crowd surrounds you as the image fades away.

Harmonies echo from the heart of your cornett, and those harmonies swell around you, guiding you into a vision. You see a brewery, and the half-elven man poses in the brewery playing the ash cornett. A bighorn sheep listens to the half-elven man, seeming bespelled by the resonant music. The vision ends as you finish your verse.

The resonances of the ash cornett flow over you as sensory impressions. You hear pious chanting and smell cooking steak before the magic of your loresong draws you into a vision. You see the image of a coniferous forest. Beneath a pine tree, the half-elven man squats holding the ash cornett and talking with a pudgy half-elven woman. Empathy fills the half-elven man's eyes as he hands the cornett to the half-elven woman. The image dissolves away.
