I don't know about everyone else, but I know I'm basically always listening to music while playing GS or anything else on the computer. Or even when I'm not on it.

So anyways.. what's your playlist look like? You into Techno (gag)? Country? Hip-hop? Which is your favorite? I'll share mine when I'm done heating up the other half of this damn TV dinner.

Artha
08-13-2003, 04:41 PM
Techno for me. My favorite is probably either VNV Nation - Dark Angel, or Covenant - Tour De Force.

Unfortunately though, my speakers decided to stop working for no damn reason this morning.

I have 116 songs on my computer. I listen to my Paul Simon's Greatest Hits CD and Michael Jackson MP3s. All the other songs are inferior when it comes to Michael Jackson and the Jackson Five. Pop > You.

Ok. Now that I'm satiated, here's my music. Pick it apart and laugh as you will. Know that most of it I did not seek, it came to me. One of my friends likes to communicate in song.

Oh, and my playlist is rather short right now because all my music was on a hard drive that just went blah on me so now I have to rebuild my collection.

Lil Jon & The eastside boyz - Get low (Great song for driving)
Beyonce & Missy Elliot - Crazy in love (remix)
Avril Lavigne - I'm With You
Garth Brooks - The dance
Clint Black & Martina McBride - Still Holding on
Joi - Lick (GREAT song)
Mark Wills - When you think of me
Terri Clark - Three Mississippi
Trace Adkins - Help me Understand
Trisha Yearwood - I would have loved you anyways
Marilyn Manson - This is the new sh*t
Don Davis - Trinity Dream (from matrix reloaded)
Rascal Flats - I melt
Rockapella - Amazing Grace

I listen to about 50% hip hop, 30% Pop, 20% country. There is an insignificant amount of other types of songs in my collection, so I won't count those.

Oh, I have 119 songs, 100% electronica/EBM/techno, and a bunch more queued in kazaa. Before I reformated my computer, I had 253.

My sister, who listens to way too much crap, has near 800 songs or so.

I have a friend who listens to everything, just about, and he had near 3000 last time I asked, I think.

I don't listen to the radio, I only listen to CD's. I took the antenna off my car because I got it all fixed up, and I haven't put the money into getting a internal one (well because I don't have it!). So I don't worry about repetitive songs. Also, I just brought up the Freshman, I was just thinking about it and I put it on. I don't listen to the same CD over and over, it's why I have over 2500 songs. That was just a list that was on my computer at the time.

Drew2
08-13-2003, 05:18 PM
I can't BELIEVE i looked over this song... It came on so I had to add it...

Lil' Kim & 50 Cent - Magic stick (Hell yes!!)

Scott
08-13-2003, 05:20 PM
50 Cent sounds like a 15 year old kid mumbling and whining at the same time.....

C. About a pickup trunk

Oprah is just.... it hurts my ears.

I'm rather fond of a lot of different types of music, ranging from Techno, to Hip Hop, to rap (cept where every other word is f this or f that..I hate that crap). I love metal (GWAR is one of my personal fav's). I even got used to ICP, scary though it sounds, hehe. I really like this Techno remix I have of clasical music, that is neat stuff.

My collection is pretty eclectic. About 4000 songs scattered from a few oldies (50s-70s), alot of 80s and 90s mainstream stuff, a shitload of techno/electronica, a decent amount of country and southern rock, some hip-hip/rap, couple hundred reggae and latin stuff, and then some "new age" stuff I guess you could call it, like Lorenna McKennit (sp) and Enigma etc..

For their last few albums DKM has been pushing the big "HEY, WE'RE IRISH!" thing, but I don't really think you can even come close to comparing it to wearing stupid masks on stage.

The whole reason for the masks is hypocriticial anyway. I heard one of the members say, in an interview, that they wore the masks so people couldn't judge them on their appearance alone. If this was the case, why not just wear featureless masks instead of the jokes they have on their heads.

I agree 100%. He is in the zone, definately. He has collaborated with Air a few times. In fact, they may guest on his latest. (Don't have the new Beck CD liner notes in front of me... but Beck does do vocals on Air's 10,000MHZ Legend.) We are listening to a creative genius mature.
