- spell 1110 called Empathic Assault, preliminary attack as bolt, then periodic CS attacks, somewhat similar to Torment in attack pattern. Bolts not as strong as 910, keeping wizards strongest bolters.
- new attack spell 1115
- Troll's Blood enhancements, allowing for more actions and possibly greater healing capability. Warden wishes to keep the individual healing spells the primary avenue of healing, but allow 1125 as an option.

Thanks TOJ.. did they say if this is part of HSN? Or is this slotted for 2005 too (AKA 2010)?

From my Simucon notes:

1110 is expected to come out during HSN.
Two more attack spells will come out later.. 1115 this fall, and something else, not sure when.

Cry for Help will be tweaked, as will trolls blood, with the idea that they should actually be worth something.

We won't be losing Major Spirit until Monks come out, next year sometime, when we'll get mental spells.

Warden said we will still have some sort of fogging and sanct spells.

Also, eventually there may be changes to healing vs. experience, but that's down the road aways. Just for game balance, and stuff.

But we'll be losing our AS Boosting spells and most likely not getting anything close.

Those new bolt spells will be useless without AS boosters.

Actually, I think there will be a Wezas' AS spell alter scroll that you can get for killing darkelves. ;)

Just stay off my Cylla and all will be well.

Why do empaths have more direct attack spells than bards or rangers?

Just quiet down and purify your gems.

And don't get me started on the tree huggers.

Because empaths are pures, and not expected to swing.

Where as rangers and bards are fairly good with their weapons.

Because bards and rangers can use their weapons to hunt, whereas empaths are being made to be more spellcasters than weapon users like wizards and sorcerors.

rangers dont use spells to hunt, last time they did it got nerfed.

Because the sanctuary spell is overpowered and needs to be completely neutered.

^^ What CT said. I need something to make up for the fact that since the switch to GS4 I couldn't swing my favorite cleaver worth a shit and had to resort to a runestaff.

Wizards can hunt just fine with a weapon.

Currently, once they take away the major spirits, the AS is gonna drop, and empaths won't be able to stay ahead of the curve.

I never said wizards, sorcerors, or empaths were unviable with weapons. It's just that they're made as pures and should be able to hunt with just their spells.

My 23 train empath is hunting greymist on Teras now. My 35 train bard hunts Kiramon alone, and up to MTK's if she has one other person there.
I don't bitch about either one.

Empaths are not effective blade hunters because they rely on bind, which is in major spirit and that sphere generates the least amount of DS, and they must neglect minor spirit or atleast not use 102, which is one of the highest defense generating spells.

They also often neglect there own spell sphere, which is the sphere that generates the most defense.

And yes, we're pures, so we get more direct attack spells.

The minor mental list won't be coming out until Monks get released, which won't be for another year more than likely.

It's bad (and sad) that now empath and clerics will be wannabe wizards (With less Bolt AS and DF).

My empath is fully trained in her sphere, 2x'd in Aim, only uses bind to help others (I'd rather save the mana), and has no desire to be a wizard.
And yes, Mspirit wont go til monks come, next year at the soonest, and I would not rule out attack/defense spells with the 200s gone.
