We still have a little while until the fun begins but in the spirit of preparedness, I got a festival page up here (http://kyaloria.com/festivals/eg2011). If you used the Spitfire page I made earlier this year than you're probably familiar with the features. In case you need a refresher, here's what you can find:
Map: Clicking on the map will open a larger version in a lightbox display.
Blast Chat Link: We've been using the Blast Chats through AIM for several festivals now and it seems to work well. No invitation is required, simply click on the link and join in.
Twitter Feed: A lot of information goes out over the official GemStone IV Twitter feed, and this makes it easy for people who are not Twitter users themselves to get access to that information.
Shop Listing: A list of shops that can be updated by anyone with fields for the shop name, exterior description, map room number, lich id, and other information. There's a link in the left sidebar that will take you directly to the form to add a new shop to the list, as well as an "Update Info" button listed below all the shops that have already been created.
Vote on Favortites: You can easily vote for your favorite shops by clicking the snazzy flames below the shop listing and see what the average user rating is as well.

Someone asked the other day if there was already a post with compiled teaser information and as best I can tell there isn't. These are the ones I grabbed and saved off the official forums. There seem to be a lot of new scripts and services this year so I thought it might also help to serve as a general reference point. The red asterisks (*) denote a separate post with more detailed information about that GM's offerings.
Auchand: Fusion, Scripted Masks
Auchand on masks:
WEAR MASK
You raise the deringo mask to your face, and it latches on to your skin hungrily. After a moment of blinding agony, the mask settles onto your flesh like a second skin.
REMOVE MASK
You pry at the edges of a silvery deringo mask. Pain shoots through your face and down your spine, as surely as if you had dug your nails deep into your flesh. Searing agony spreads across your face as the clinging mask slowly relaxes its grip upon you, coming off with a horrible, wet sucking sound.
LOOK MASK
A silvery deringo mask is currently oriented to the left. Both of its eye sockets are empty.
(Huh, it's almost as if you could put something into those eye sockets. Maybe jewels!)
Rumors are spreading that these masks might contain evil spirits. I'm sure there's no truth to these little superstitions. If you start, I dunno, hearing voices telling you to do horrible things while wearing them... you're probably just crazy.
Bravura: Giggler Orbs, New Weapon Scripts
Bravura on weapon scripts:
It's universal. Yes, even people who strip tree branches ( runestaves ) can use it.
It has an amazing amount of unlocking required.
It outputs many different sets of messaging, including failures if your body is injured in particular ways.
It has three "themes" of messaging -- Offensive, Defensive, and Holy.
Obviously, if your weapon cannot be blessed, the zests meant for holy weapons will not work. In order to fully unleash the fury of this script, you'll need the holy zests unlocked.
Emeradan: Siolan Daggers, Mulentin Cloaks/Satchels/Pouches, Weapon Script Adding
Estild*: Runestaff Flares
Izzea: Feature/Hair Alters Items
Izzea on hair altering items:
Just a pre-warning for anyone who is interested in having a custom hairstyle that works with one of my new snoods/cauls, or recently updated hair flowers. Please think up some hairstyles in advance, as these will not be a delayed service. If you win one via raffle/spinner, it will need to be redeemed on the spot, so it would be a good idea to give it a bit of pre-thought if you are interested in getting one!
You'll need to think about the actual feature portion of it, so "Pinned on top of her head with" or "twisted into a tight bun and caught within" etc. Obviously it is a good idea to think of flower/snood/caul designs too, but the ones I have in my shop will work fine if you want to just keep one of those designs.
Jainna: Morphing Containers
Jainna on morphing containers:
To answer some questions...
Phase...
>cast my case
You gesture at a silver-edged black leather case.
The case becomes somewhat insubstantial and appears lighter.
>look case
You see the shifting form of a silver-edged black leather case.
It will morph with items inside of it already, but if the container its switching to is too small to hold what's inside, you'll have to take some out. Different builds will unlock in different orders, so some are more advantageous than others.
Each container is able to be lightened/deepened (unless already at the max) and can be altered by any merchant. There are two separate sets, one is neck worn, worn AS a belt, ankle worn, and wrist worn. The other set is cloak, backpack, worn ON a belt, and slung over one shoulder. Off the shelf they have two of these four places available, depending on the item.
Kaikala*: Duplicity(aka Peretta Gowns), Essa Toppers, Photobooks, Glamour Tattoos
Leonric: Scripted Pouches
Leonric on new container scripts:
>l in my pouch
In the leather gem pouch you see a midnight blue pearl, a piece of rose quartz, a blue diamond, a dark red-green bloodstone and a dark red-green bloodstone.
>get diamond
You remove a blue diamond from in your leather gem pouch.
>close pouch
You tie your leather gem pouch shut tightly.
>l in pouch
The leather gem pouch is shut too tightly to see its contents.
>put diamond in pouch
You untie your leather gem pouch, slip the diamond in, then retie it quickly.
>l in pouch
The leather gem pouch is shut too tightly to see its contents.
>rem ring
You remove a sparkling silver ring from your wrist.
>put ring in pouch
The pouch can only hold gems.
Leonric
>Sick script. Will it be possible to put it on existing containers?
Yes, I'll have a merchant at EG doing this. I'm not sure of the means of distribution yet, but it won't be raffle/auction only.
Naionna: New Yansio Clothing, Mini Quests
Naionna on quests:
>You also see an unusual patch of ground.
As you take a step forward, intent on exploring the unusual patch of earth, you feel something soft and weakened beneath your foot. Before it can register that perhaps the earth is not stable here, you have taken another step forward and the ground suddenly gives!
Your gasp of surprise is brief as you hear a large CRACK and find yourself falling downward into whatever lies below! Dirt and grass fall down about you in a large cloud as you land in a heap on the ground, deep inside of a hole.
[Smuggling Tunnels, Cavern]
Cavernous walls frame the area, spanning from the rich soil floor to high above, where roots from trees and other flora dangle from the earthen ceiling. A faint musty smell permeates the damp air and several plants have grown into the walls, complete with flowering vines, several soil-packed roots, and the occasional deposit of mineral.
Obvious exits: southeast, south, southwest
Surprisingly, the hole in the ceiling is now closing on its own! A groaning squeak emits from a pully mechanism affixed to the wall, and a makeshift wooden trapdoor slowly inches back into place to conceal the opening above. Several pieces of dirt, grass and debris fall about you in a cloud as they are shaken loose from the door in its movement.
************************************************** *
You are entering a quest area, which may entail dangers, possibly death, and time
to complete. If you do not want to participate in this quest and/or you do not
feel you have the time right now to work on completing it, then you can transport
out of the quest area within the next 60 seconds if you - RECITE OUTTA HERE - in
some form (must use RECITE, though), and you will be moved out of the area.
You have 60 seconds from now to opt out of the area. After that, you're on your own!
************************************************** *

Tamuz*: Weapon Service for GoS Members, Ranger Imbue Boxes, Tattoo Covering Cream, Runestaff Service, Bow Sighting, Recharging Elemental Spells
Wyrom: Lockpicks, Gem Holders, Adamantine Ingots, Permabless Service, Armor and Weapon Moods
Wyrom's Recap:
So, I know I've been posting some very vague teasers since about July. But I figure I'll go ahead and just give you a condensed recap of what what new things you might find at Feywrot Mire (of mine).
Lockpicks: There will be some specialty lockpicks for sale that can be worn. Fluff in their ability, they offer a unique way to conceal them from sight.
Gem Holders: The gem holders have an ability that is very functional, which requires a special type of gem.
Revamped Game: If you managed to visit the old Ebon Gate grounds, between 2002 and 2004, you might remember a cottage you could explore. While a lot has been updated, the integrity of the game is the same.
Adamantine Ingots: Not forging related, there are a group of goblins patrolling a pile of adamantine. Why are they doing that? That will be known if you make it to the new grounds.
Permanent Bless: Have trouble finding a bless? Yeah that teaser. Seems straight forward, but there will be a catch. Only two will be offered (per instance).
New Teaser - Armor and Weapon Moods: Ever want your flaring weapon or armor to do more ambient messaging? What about if you had the chance to add a custom mood message? More on this teaser as we get closer to EG.

If you don't already know it, I like sparkly stuff. This year I don't have any crazy new things, but I've tweaked a few older items and/or will be offering some things that people have been asking about.
I don't really have the attention span to post a series of teasers ;) So in sum, some oldies but goodies:
You see Blondie.
She appears to be a child at heart.
She is very, very blonde.
She is wearing a silver cone-shaped hat, a frilly pink gown with too many ruffles, and a ditty bag.
(1) Duplicity Dresses (aka Peretta gowns)
Duplicity will be around to both unlock and to "customize". For those who weren't around to listen to Peretta talk about offing her husbands while she customized, what the customizing part of the service entails is something like:
>push my gown
You push your hands down against your gown in an elegant gesture. (The default)
>stand my gown
Standing primly, you fluff the fabric of your gown out until it drapes down in a perfectly smooth and unblemished fashion. (The default)
After some customization:
>push my gown
You push your hands down against your gown in a fanciful motion while giggling with delight.
>stand my gown
Standing with an air of giddy excitement, you fluff the fabric of your gown out until it drapes down in a perfectly smooth and unblemished fashion.
SOME parts of SOME of the verbs can be tailored to personal taste, as evidenced here. Can we tell that I am extremely excitement about EG?!?!
(2) Essa Toppers (aka, well, Essa Toppers. It's just so catchy.)
>glance
You glance down to see a large red ruby buckle in your right hand and a burnished copper feather in your left hand.
>drop my feather on my hat
You carefully tuck your copper feather into your hat, smoothing it perfectly into place.
>glance my hat
You carefully examine your cone-shaped hat. A burnished copper feather falls softly against the side of your hat, accenting it perfectly.
>pull my hat
You carefully pull a burnished copper feather from your hat.
But wait... THERE'S MORE!
>drop my buckle on my hat
You carefully tuck your red ruby buckle into your hat, smoothing it perfectly into place.
>glance my hat
You carefully examine your cone-shaped hat. A large red ruby buckle is situated against the side of your hat, accenting it perfectly.
You see Blondie.
She appears to be a child at heart.
She is very, very blonde.
She is wearing a silver cone-shaped hat adorned with a large red ruby buckle, a frilly pink gown with too many ruffles, and a ditty bag.
(3) Painted Cards (Meant for #4, though you can just collect them on your own.)
>get card
You remove a painted card from in your ditty bag.
>l my card
The card is painted in the dark colors of evening, with tiny yellow stars dotting the sky. Clearly depicting a large plaza with multiple shops, several boarded up, others clearly open for business, the tiny painting is focused on a slate-roofed building. Red stains, as red as blood, stretch across the front of the structure, where the smears spell out the words, "Die Mayor Walkar!"
There appears to be something written on it.
>read my card
In the Common language, it reads:
Hello from Wehnimer's Landing!
>'That won't do
You say, "That won't do."
>clean card
You look at the writing on your card, trying to best determine how to clean it off.
If you truly want to clean off the current writing, just CLEAN the same card again within the next 30 seconds. Once it's gone, you can't get it back!
>clean card
Using the backside of your wrist, you carefully rub away the writing on your card.
>get quill
You remove a gold-dusted quill strung from a thin cord from in your ditty bag.
>write card;Political strife in Wehnimer's Landing. I've just arrived to find blood smeared across Moot Hall!
Using your quill, you carefully ink a message onto the painted card.
>read my card
In the Common language, it reads:
Political strife in Wehnimer's Landing. I've just arrived to find blood smeared across Moot Hall!
>'That's more like it
You say, "That's more like it."
(4) Picture Albums (aka WaveDancer Photo Albums)
>get album from my quiv
You remove a gold-trimmed dark leather album from in your ditty bag.
>open my album
You flip open the cover of your dark leather album.
>l my album
You are holding your dark leather album open to page one.
The center of the page is blank.
>l
[Wehnimer's, Land's End Rd.]
Vigilant night guardsmen scrutinize the citizens and travelers arriving and departing through the wide gateway spanning the land route into Wehnimer's Landing. The cluttered streets of the city to the south are a far cry from the deceptively calm expanse of the wilds of Elanith outside. Two daunting towers survey the countryside and protect the town, flanking the road to the east and west. You also see a wooden barrel.
Obvious paths: south
>wave my album
As you wave the open dark leather album out in front of you, its pages flip back and forth in a flurry of motion that cannot be explained simply by the movement of your hand.
For a moment, nothing happens except for the eerie semi-independent movement of the album's pages. Then, a whirlwind of color, like a tiny cyclone of jewel tones forms above it, spinning faster and faster. Finally, with a whoosh, the colors sink abruptly into the album, drenching the page.
>l my album
You are holding your dark leather album open to page one.
Affixed to the page you see an elaborately detailed depiction of Wehnimer's, Land's End Rd.. In the bottom corner of the page, precise lettering spells out, "Leyan, day 14 of the month Imaerasta, in the year 5111".
Notable in the area is a wooden barrel.
In the forefront of the tiny painting is Blondie.
>turn my album
You turn from page one to page two in your dark leather album.
>l my album
You are holding your dark leather album open to page two.
The center of the page is blank.
>put my card on my album
You carefully place a painted card on the first blank page that you find in your dark leather album. It wavers slightly, then seems to melt into the center of the page.
>l my album
You are holding your dark leather album open to page two.
Affixed to the center of the page you see a painted card.
In the Common language, it reads:
Political strife in Wehnimer's Landing. I've just arrived to find blood smeared across Moot Hall!
>pull my album
You carefully pull at a page in your dark leather album. The picture atop begins to loosen and you get the sense that if you pulled it again quickly, you might be able to peel it away without ruining it.
>pull my album
You carefully peel the painting from the page to which your dark leather album is open.
>l my album
You are holding your dark leather album open to page two.
The center of the page is blank.
>glance
You glance down to see a gold-trimmed dark leather album in your right hand and a painted card in your left hand.
*As a note, these will be available in a Premium-only shop and are attuned when you buy them. Any merchant (who is willing) can re-attune them to any (Premium or not) character. Only the attuned character can add and remove pictures, though anyone can look at the albums.
(5) Glamour Tattoos
As ever, these are difficult to describe, but they allow you to cloak your features in the illusion of fantastical (or even boring) features. VERY limited in terms of a fully customized one. But I'll have some single-feature temporary ones offered more liberally this time around.
I've got some other delicious items, but they're all things you've seen before... coming soon to an EG near you!

Runestaff Service:
Please note, these staves will not have flares off-the-shelf, this is merely a demonstration that they do work with Estild's amazing update. And that's part of why he was so pleased to announce that they were not a script :)

No, it's a gate that opens up (Portal) and you walk thru it for it's own seperate grounds.
One of those fancy pay events, this year seems to be good in terms of decent items being released and services as well, compared to the last year or so lately so it's a plus.

After doing some alteration in Platinum, I think I need to put a little information up to help ease the alteration process for those that at least read the forums. Let me just say, they have a small chance to fire off the ambient messaging roughly every 6 minutes. There is a good chance you might not see them go off at all in a day. Items with no flares, weighting, sighting, padding, defender, blessing, edging, or TD bonus do not do any ambient messaging. You can bless or guiding light flares (or minor edge a 0x weapon) to cause them to be ambient though. All flare types have several generic messagings programmed into them. Padding, weighting, and sighting do not, and will ONLY go off when you get a custom ambient setting done.
When you do get a custom ambient messaging setting done, it does not nullify the programmed in ones, so it will do those and your custom one. These are suppose to be magical cantrips, illusions, and images that your items "cause." They do not cause permanent things to happen. Armor concealers may not work friendly with them, I didn't test that a heck of a lot. You can PROD your item to turn it on and off, in terms of ambient messaging. ANALYZE has a lot of this information built in. When altering the custom settings (RUB, CLENCH, and ambient), treat the alteration like you would getting an EzScript. You write the first and third person messaging. If you can only produce one (1st or 3rd) at the time of alteration, don't worry, I'll assist you. You may only get one custom setting done per alteration session, unless I work through the line another time (you know the drill). I'm also very open to working with you on these.

Splitting weapons are eligible for this service as well.

Updated first post to include:

Giggler orbs are mage-rechargeable items that have a switch that allows you to switch between three different spells in the item. There is one set of charges in the item, like normal, and a use of any of the three spells uses one charge.
Typically you get two good spells you actually want to use, and then something dinky like 401 to actually make recharging easy and worthwhile, since it sets the difficulty by whatever spell the switch is set to.

Asked and answered, thanks Tolwynn!
What is a Siolan dagger?
I did a quick search and found scripts for the Siolan daggers listed here (http://forum.gsplayers.com/showpost.php?p=920969&postcount=2). These are apparently the scripts for the fully unlocked versions, not all scripts will be available off the shelf.
Touch: You thumb the edge of your dagger, testing its sharpness, before casting an appraising glance at your surroundings.
Turn: You deftly turn the dagger in your palm, reversing it in one smooth move to hold the weapon carefully by its tip.
Pull: Flexing your fingers around your dagger's hilt, you extend it in front of you in a defensive position.
Push: Holding your dagger's hilt easily within your grip, you ready the blade in an offensive posture.
Rub: You gingerly run your palm over the flat of your dagger's blade.
Wave: Raising your dagger overhead, you let your hand hover momentarily in that position before you bring it downward in a vicious stabbing motion.
Flip: With a quick flick of your wrist, you lightly toss your dagger into the air and turn your hand to catch it, momentarily balancing the small blade against the back of your knuckles. To complete the trick, you snag the blade's tip with your thumb and deftly flip the dagger to catch it again by its hilt.
Prod: You jab experimently at the air with your dagger, testing its balance.
Does anyone have an example of Izzea's feature/hair alterers?
You arrange your hair into a new style before placing your creamy vaalin caul on your head.
You see GameMaster Izzea the Heartbreaker.
She appears to be a Faendryl Halfling.

Well, I'm sure sonic alterations require you to be a bard.
Other than that, no other class or race restrictions I've read about, but youl'll need to have certain amount of ranged skill (unknown amount) to enter the sighting raffle. Also, there might be player forged weapon enchants that will require you to atleast have a forged weapon.
Oh, and a GOS master to bane your weapon against trolls/orcs/giants.

possibly a dumb question, but do you have to be a gos master to use the bane weapons?
drauz
10-27-2011, 04:34 PM
No you dont have to be a master to use them.
Everything was able to be entered by everyone. Nothing had restrictions in plat. Not a sighting raffle or even zelnorn or kroderine raffles.
Ok, now that Plat's week is winding down, I have some time to post some information about what to expect.
There are several new games:
Mallet game (standard carny game of hit the mallet and try to ring the bell at the top)
Catfish Noodlin' :hillbilly handfishing
Ring Toss: toss a ring at bottles. (haven't played this one myself)
Pig Wrasslin: Try to catch a greased pig.
Ball toss: try to knock down 5 pins.
Pin the tail on the donkey: what it sounds like
There are also two games that take actual skill into account for archery and hurling. They are rigged so as to be virtually impossible to win even for capped characters. Don't bother with them. The few times someone won them in plat the prizes were just random and generally pretty crappy for the odds.
The other games all have 4 tiers of prizes plus 1 loser message.
Mallet game:ball doesn't rise off the base=loser
barely above your head: lowest prize tier
Rises above the tents: next tier
*Bong!* one bell: 2nd highest tier
3 bells: highest tier.
Ring toss has colors for each tier.
black-loser
brown-lowest tier
blue-2nd lowest
green-2nd highest
unknown-highest tier (no one has hit this tier as of yet in plat)
Catfish Noodlin':
black eel=loser
small squirming catfish-lowest
a dark-speckled suckermouth catfish -next lowest
a large brown bullhead catfish -2nd highest
a gnome sized catfish-top tier
Pig wrassling:
greased pig=loser
fat pig=low end
black spotted pig=mid-low end
speedy piglet=mid-high end
rooster=high end
Ball toss:
miss-loss
1 ball-low end
2 balls-mid-low end
4 balls- mid-high end
5 balls-high end
Pin the tail on the donkey:
>l rolt
The rolton front legs are bent and his head is tossed upwards as if locked in a playful prance. A bold black star has been painted onto its rump where its tail should be. A small red section extends past the star, forming a near-circle that encompasses the star. A larger orange-painted section stretches past the red area, and a yet-larger yellow section reaches to the rolton's shoulders.
pin doesn't stick on a loss
yellow-low end
orange-mid/low end
red-mid/high end
black star/grand prize
Grand Prizes have ranged from neckpouch with scripted bodice and 6x void flaring daggers, scripted enchanted shield, acuity/mana runestaves, and unlocked deity symbols.
Mid/high end prizes have varied from things like unlocked scrying bowls, minor enhancive cloaks/gloves/capes, scripted compass, scripted lantern, skin/eye color changing flaskets and flacons, twc scripted weapons, twc belts with scabbards, identifying scabbards, 100% chrism gems, etc...
Adamantine was restricted to level 65 and over people in plat.
Kroderine was a major win, as were the 5x switchable bless/flares broadswords and falchions and the padding and weighting raffles.
Sighting was not restricted in plat due to low turnout of eligible bows (no ebows, no dual crossbows, no wand bows, no additional sighting to already sighted bows beyond the level offered), and the fact that plat access is entire account, not single character like Prime offers in some cases.
Overall, it's been the best non-auction EG I've attended ever.
-Richard.

Opening time draws ever closer, so here is the tentative breakdown on my limited services. These are not set in stone, depending on things that might come up in real life.
Saturday: Sighting raffles and auction. These will probably be spaced an hour apart, with an increasing threshold of ranged training to enter (starting low, moving higher). There will be a single service auctioned off, available to anyone (with silver). It's likely these will begin in the early afternoon and move forward until they're all taken care of.
Saturday: Zelnorn raffles. These will happen after the sighting raffles.
Sunday: Sunfist Master-only weapon enhancements. These will likely all be done at once, sometime in mid-afternoon. I don't have an exact time, so keep your eyes out.
Sunday: Kroderine raffles. Probably late afternoon/evening.
For Prime, these are ALL considered major wins which will prevent you from entering other major raffles, so please plan accordingly.
Additionally, Bazzelwyn will do one unlocking session for his staves on Friday night, followed by a round of removal services to get rid of those pesky spikes, flares, sanctification, TD enhancements, padding, or fluff scripts (and only fluff scripts) on your objects. Bazzelwyn gets the final call as to what constitutes a "fluff script". So, if you want your gear further modified during the event, a Friday night visit might be in order!
The remainder of Bazzelwyn's services (unlocking staves, customizing Imbue boxes, removal services as detailed above, and Elemental / Arcane recharging) will be offered throughout the week.
Post Scriptum: Bazzelwyn will be happy to offer script removal for Nalea gowns, at no charge.

To follow in the footsteps of Tamuz, I'd like to state my plans for the weekend as well.
Tonight, we'll have a mini quest, it's on the FESTIVAL command. After that, barring any issues, I plan to offer holy symbols with Balbaroy. They are like Brother Weathersby symbols, but these will also have a religion lore enhancives. The enhancive WILL be restricted to the account who gets this service, so in a sense, they will be "attuned." They will also double as a symbol that will work with spell 340. I only have twenty to offer.
Saturday, I plan on offering flares with Dyhne. Dyhne offers common flare choices, grapple, or disruption. Price depends on enchant of the item. To give an idea of cost, a 4x item will be about 120,000 silvers, where a 10x item will be 9,000,000 silvers. I only have twnety to offer. After flares, Dyhne will select a small group to have custom work done with his scripted items (or add the script to your non-scripted items). Later in the evening, Balbaroy will be selecting two people for a permabless service. This service will attune to your account, and the weapon will be completely useless in the hands of anyone else not on your account. I will go over this again when I offer the service. It will not be raffled or auctioned.
Sunday, Dyhne will be having an adamantine auction. He has three ingots, and the winner can choose to make a weapon, armor, or shield. This auction will be restricted to characters level 65 and up. You don't need the silvers on you to bid, but you must produce the winning amount within three minutes of the auction ending, or your win will be forfeit, and you will be disqualified from bidding again (as well as escorted by goblin marauders into the outer swamp). This service doesn't attune. After the auction, Dyhne will be around to offer his custom service at some point.
That's my schedule for my limited stuff, I'll be around for my unlimited stuff outside the schedule. Lahke will be about to talk about his lockpicks, and Balbaroy will make your symbols more holy (for spell 340) as well. Dyhne will be around at random times to work on his custom services too (this service isn't limited, but it's detail-oriented, and eats up a lot more time per customer). If there should be anything left after it is offered (limited services), it will just be offered at a random time.
The adamantine and permabless will be considered MAJOR wins. So plan accordingly. Everything else I offer is not a MAJOR win.

Clicking on the link provided on the festival page should take you to a page that says "You have requested to join the EG 2011 AIM Blast Group". You may or may not have to enter your AIM info to sign in before reaching this page, dependent on browser settings. Towards the bottom of the page there is a "Join" button. Once you click on the "Join" button it will take you to a landing page with information about the Blast Chat, including the list of recent activity and members, as well as a screen shot showing you how to access the group from your chat client.
Based on your post I believe you have already made it through these steps. If, in fact, you have made it to this point you should already be a member and should see EG 2011 listed in your buddy list in your chat client. Clearly it will work if you use the standalone AIM client, and I can vouch for it working with Trillian as well as that is what I use.

If you use lich, then you'll want to immediately download ;raffle. Run it in any room with a raffle table, it'll save the information. After that simply use ;raffle and it will show you all the current raffles that you saved and when they draw.
It does not work with multiple raffle tables in the same room, or with things like raffle counters, etc.
And I did not write, just passing along a nice lich download.

No you dont have to be a master to use them.
Everything was able to be entered by everyone. Nothing had restrictions in plat. Not a sighting raffle or even zelnorn or kroderine raffles.
Not true, you did have to be a master in GoS to be eligable for those, I gave my slot to someone who wasn't a master yet however cause I had no use for them myself.
And the sighting raffle was restricted a new player at level 14 couldn't get in and they use ranged. The sighting Auction however was open to anyone.

EG, Lag, and you! on 10/30/2011 12:31 PM CDT
429 Reply We're doing some behind the scenes things to help cut down on the lag we've all been experiencing, but you guys can help too! Please, PLEASE throw away your junk from digging and the assorted games. To this end, throwing away trash objects in the EG area will no longer award experience. This means you don't have to worry about starting your Gift of Lumnis from trash, or running it out!
Every bit helps if the janitor doesn't have to deal with 400 items on the ground in a single room. If there are any games or digging stations that lack a trash can object in the same room, please post here and we'll get that fixed up.
So, please update your scripts accordingly and find the nearest trash receptacle in your immediate area!
Thanks for your help!

-Richard.
;draffle works with multiple raffle tables, and counters, crates, etc etc etc.
It's ;raffle, with a few minor tweaks. 99% of the code is not mine. The tweaks are.

Dan,
if you change the line with script.vars[1] to script.vars[0] you should be able to capture a full line of parameters, right now draffle works fine for me if I draffle crate, then draffle box, but draffle second table wont work.

I just want to add that for me this has been a great festival so far. I had a pretty short list of what I wanted done at this festival, and I've gotten most of that and then some. I'm very intrigued by the hopper items and the games, the merchants have been great for me so far, with some very creative offerings, and the new grounds are easy enough to navigate and fairly interesting.

I had a blast at Bilkie's earlier today spinning the wheel.
Options were:
1:8 Betcha didn't see that coming!
1:10 A kiss to die for!
1:10 It'll cost you an arm and a leg!
1:20 How about a drink?
1:20 A stitch in time!
1:20 Light as a feather!
1:20 Blast your bad luck...you must be cursed!
1:20 Fill 'er up!
1:20 That's not very neat!
1:20 Your mother dresses you funny!
1:20 Elementary, my dear!
1:40 The pen is mightier...
1:40 Will you PLEASE stop wandering around?
1:40 Where are you again?
1:40 You actually bought that?
1:50 A much needed makeover!
1:67 Charge!
1:200 Boom or Bust!
10k to spin. I lost my eyes instead of winning anything but it was still pretty fun and creative. Also fun to watch a few people "win" kisses from trolls or literally have all their limbs fall off. Would definitely play again :)

If they're like the old ones, it'll attune to whomever first wears it. The person it is attuned to needs to raise it twice to unattune it before someone else can attune to it.

Still don't have power, and its Wed.
No power at all in Agawam MA except small pockets.
I just got wireless networking back about 30 minutes ago.
All the trees on my property are destroyed. Tree service here, 1000 bucks to take care of that.
I am lucky I got a huge generator on my Games2U van so I got my sump pumps working, my fridge, my laptop to watch movies, and oh yah, I can go play a lot of video games. Charge my phone, about it though. Better than most, hot meals are a 10 minutes drive, and diesel is a 20 minute drive. Most grocery stores don't have perishables yet within a 30 minute radius.
We really got devestated. All the trees had leaves and weren't frozen yet, so with other a foot of heavy, wet snow, everything got fucked. Roads are still closed all over, over 100,000 people without power, its a mess.
I am one of the lucky ones who did ok, got a hot shower, and able to watch movies, and finally back online, might try to hit EG if the network stays stable.

I'm in Jersey and we took it pretty bad here too. There are still people without power, trees and wires down. I got lucky. Power only went out for a few minutes however my landscaping is kinda um....it's gonna need a lot of work in the spring. Amazingly, the neighborhoods right around mine were out of power for 4 days. I have friends in Central Jersey that still dont have power.

My understanding is that they aren't available off the shelf, but through special merchant release, specifically Beaum. And as far as I know he hasn't been around to release them.

Speaking of Beaum, this happened to me earlier this eve...
A soft giggle echoes in the area.
>inca 402
You gesture and invoke the powers of the elements for the Presence spell...
Your spell is ready.
You gesture.
You become aware of everyone near you...
You do not detect any hidden or invisible people.
You continue to feel much more aware of your surroundings.
Speaking hesitantly to you, Beaum asks, "Yo...You're pretty. Can I juggle for you?"
>look
[Feywrot Mire, Banyan Cirque - 20143]
A neatly tended garden, oddly out of place in the otherwise marshy environment, flourishes within a tall, wire-fenced area. Bright ribbons decorate the fence posts and wind through the wire enclosure. A leaf-stuffed scarecrow, draped in a pink floral dress, sports a oversized lady's hat with furling ribbons dancing in the lightest breeze. You also see a teak and white monir wagon with a cocoa-hued sunshade.

You grin.
You softly say, "Sure."
Beaum applauds.
You giggle.
>look bea
You see Juggler Beaum.
He appears to be a Burghal Gnome of the Nylem Bloodline.
It is difficult to properly see his features as the hood of his cloak is pulled down over his face.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing a crystal amulet, an oversized suede cloak, a thick leather jerkin, some baggy cotton pantaloons, and some mismatched shoes.
Beaum gathers a few dulled daggers and a bottle of wine and begins to juggle them in the air! Gaining a rhythm, Beaum begins to dance a traditional waltz while maintaining his concentration.
You softly say, "Woah fancy."
Beaum giggles.
Beaum exclaims, "I can juggle good!"
You clap your hands.
You softly say, "Indeed."
Beaum squeakily asks, "Have you done much shopping in the Mire so far?"
You softly say, "Thats what Im doing tonight."
Beaum lets the bottle of wine fall and it lands on his foot! Without a blink, Beaum continues to juggle multiple daggers.
You applaud.
Beaum blushes a nice shade of pink.
Speaking to you, Beaum says, Has anyone told you that you're so pretty...
You grin at Beaum.
You softly say, "Its always nice to hear, thank you."
You softly ask, "Are you having fun?"
Beaum balances the bottle of wine on his foot and one by one begins to catch and put away his daggers. While looking you over, he nods quickly and kicks the bottle of wine into the air before catching it and strikes Shimeria on the skull!
>'ouch
You are still stunned.
Speaking to you, Beaum exclaims, "Oh, I'm having fun now!"
Beaum giggles.
You feel yourself being pulled away...
[Dangerous Obsession, Horrors - 20143]
Framed upon either side with a lit silver sconce, a prominently displayed mannequin appears to be the centerpiece of the room. The smell of rotting, decayed flesh is prominent. You also see a slatted wall of pegs with some stuff on it.
Obvious exits: southeast, northwest
Beaum pants.
You are still stunned.
Speaking to you, Beaum says, "You're heavy for such a slender thing..."
Beaum giggles.
>grima
You are still stunned.
Beaum licks the dagger in his hand.
Speaking to you, Beaum says, "I'm going to make a doll of you...You're so pretty..."
Beaum strides over to stand before you.
Beaum begins to trace the edge of his dagger against your temple before a loud sound bangs on the outside of the wagon!
Beaum exclaims, "Eep!"
Beaum runs his hand over his suede cloak causing the color to shift through a range of greens and browns.
>'hmmm
You softly say, "Hmmm."
>look

As your mind clears of fog, you notice the gruesome place you were dragged.
An old memory bubbles up from your past, and causes you to reflect a moment. With a flash of insight, you realize you understand yourself a bit better than you did a moment ago. The sudden feeling of self-knowledge is a pleasant one.
A high-pitched giggle fills the night air. "She's so pretty..." a squeaky voice says before fading into nothingness.
A sudden flash of metal flickers in your eyes as you remember the vivid look on the gnome's face and the sharpness of the knife pressed against your skin.
Your recent adventures echo powerfully in your mind.
Fun!
Reminds me of the Hole song..
I am doll parts
Doll skin
Doll heart...

Can anyone tell me if a wand staff has any benefit other than being able to wave a wand at something more conveniently? (And being zesty).

That's pretty much it, though to me, some wands are more useful than others when added to a staff. For example, an oak wand, which didn't occur to me at first, is nearly the same as knowing the spell when it's attached to your runestaff. Pretty handy in an emergency situation.

Cool, thank you. I won an account attuned unbreakable one at EG, and the merchant was making a big deal about making sure I understood that it was NOT TRANSFERRABLE!!! It led me to believe that it must be more uber than it actually is. Not that it is not very nice, it is, but I just thought maybe I was missing something.
