I ended up with Game of Thrones and Sanderson's The Way of Kings. Oddly enough, I've bought these two series but I haven't read them enough. Where did you end up?

Is it good or bad that I read every one of those books in the past except 2?

I'd say that's a good thing.

I've read a majority of those but not all by any means. Certainly not Diana Gabaldon's stuff. She's my mother's favorite romance writer, ugh. It would feel akin to wearing my mother's panties. Shudder.

Cool chart. Negative 5 points for the exclusion of Good Omens, though.

Is Gor on here? The list is BS if not.

Not sure who you're trying to kid, your mom doesn't wear panties...or so I've heard.

Dan Simmons' Hyperion... which I tried to read and I didn't like his writing style at all. It bored the shit out of me.

man loved Hyperion and the followers, Simmons in general writes a great story, and writes in a bunch of genres too

In relevant news. Brandon Sanderson released a book today that no one knew he was working on.

Heh, I spent the weekend reorganizing my six bookcases, alphabetically by author (though I'm considering the Dewey Decimal system). This is before I saw the chart, but I think I have the vast majority. Jacqueline Carey's 'Kushiel' series is one of my favorites. And Lucifer's Hammer..wow, now that I've organized, I know right where it is. Cool Stuff.

wanna come organize my barn, theres 3500 or so books in there, and yes it is a finished barn not like outdoors or anything, I estimate I own something close to 4500 books, real glad I have tons of space.

kushiel's Dart was pretty good, never got around to reading the other ones.

That's actually pretty awesome. I would put like a barn animal in one stall and books in the next one, and then maybe a sexy pool boy in the next one. Living quarters complete!

I want a library where all my books smell of deep mahogany, so I can be kinda a big deal.

Read a LOT of it all.

Going thru the chart a few times and I ended up at two places consistently.

Stephen R. Donaldson, and Raymond E. Feist.

Read em all! Many times!

I'll echo this. Three of my all-time favorite books are by Simmons (Carrion Comfort, The Terror, The Crook Factory), and I will consume pretty much anything he writes. (I even liked Ilium and Olympos)
