SEVERE HOCKEY ADVISORY: The National Hockey League has just issued a report that fierce LIGHTNING storms are expected to wreak havoc on Calgary over the next week. The long range forecast calls for clear skies, bright sunshine and a long overdue tan for Lord Stanley.
GO BOLTS!

You'd think by your enthusiasm that you actually lived in a real hockey town. :D

Actually.. I never got into hockey much until this year when I hopped on the Lightning bandwagon. Now this whole city is so pumped for them to win.. it's hard not to watch the games and root for the home team.

Parkbandit,
Would you say people are more fired up for the lightning than the Bucs being in the Superbowl?
I come from a hockey town, but I always got the impression that outside of a few selected cities, nobody really ever cares.
Anyways, enjoy the last year of hockey.

Absolutely not. This is and will always be a Football town. When the Bucs were going for the Superbowl.. this town was 10x as excited.
That's not to say we are not fully behind the Lightning.. but in popularity.. Bucs win hands down.

Parkbandit is simply one of those hoseheads that just have to be addicted to some sport or another. :snicker:: If you lived in down town humidity-ville, you'd be jones'n for something to distract you as well. :>

Bastard. Tampa is NOT humidity-ville. At least not from December to January.
