You left off the poll option "I have nothing worth stealing". Best security measure ever.

ADT's fine... if you know the talented people can endrun most of it.
Can you post a summary of what it does? Like most marketers they tend to market their products inefficiently.

Derp because it's a no-brainer to the person who does?

Meh. I think they are okay if you're residential and your potential losses would be under 100k. Their wiring requirements are identical to the standard built in for most track homes built after 1998. This is how they make most of their money, and I think the business model is sound because *I've Heard* they pass along most of these savings to the customer in monitoring and dispatch. I put a dollar limit on the service because if a professional really wanted to he would just need to read up on residential wiring and alarm/portal placement to get right up in there and make sure all your bases are belong to him.
One other thing is that they dont carry alot of big ticket clients. Cornering the residential market in security is cornering the residential market in security....yah know?

As a former employee, their monitoring is actually quite good. This doesn't always mean that their equipment is.
