I want to.

I am going to the Nats game with a buddy tonight. If it gets rained out, we'll probably head to see this.

I liked the book and as a kid I obsessed over the writing of the researcher they based their ideas on. I'll check it out later this weekend.

I hope Moneyball is better than Liar's Poker. I'm currently reading that and its a bit of a yawner.

Field of Dreams?
Bad News Bears (original)?
Major League?
Bull Durham?

All of those movies were great. I would even put Mr. 3000 up.. but it wasn't that good.

A League of Their Own was decent too.

Now that I think about it.. I didn't calculate my first real job salary with inflation. Turns out.. 19K in 1985 is more like $40K today.

Shit, even my pizza place job during high school turns out to be more than 19K inflation adjusted.

What do you do for a "living".. newspaper route?

So, you can't have a good paying job while you go to school? Shit, why didn't anyone tell me that!

It's complicated. I could get a bad paying job that doesn't require any commitment, but since I spend 6-7 months in the field, I wouldn't be able to find a decent job.

Also, I spend 60-70 hours a week at school, I really don't have time to spend folding clothes or waiting tables for minimum wage.

The Natural is one of the top movies of all time for me.

Anyone read the book for Moneyball? I picked it up a few months ago before I knew about the movie and really enjoyed it. Shame they got Jonah Hill, though.

Yah I loved the book as well and was similiarly disturbed by the Jonah Hill thing. The statistics guru in the book was not a fat nerd he was just smart.

Book is great, really changed the way I look at sports in general but Im not entirely sure the movie can get across the better parts of the book. Like bean talking about pumping up pitcher stats too dump them and what not. I dont think you can explain all the awsoneness in the book in 2 hours.

I've been meaning to change that sig. Most of those posters have been gone for years. I guess I could start a new one with your bag of douche.

As for the Bucks, I'm just hoping to survive this season, and get a sweet coach in place for next year. (Urban Meyer perhaps)

Low expectations means I wasn't crushed even losing to a shitty team like Cryami.
