I've always been fond of South Park.

05-31-2004, 12:43 AM
I love South Park! I think it's so original and a real symbol of free speech. Plus it's really funny.

Gargoyles was cool. Had that gothic animation from Batman.

I liked Sailor Moon a lot. Sure, busty girls in uniforms are awesome, but I also like that whole shes a dumb blonde who always gets it right, with the accompanying hot babe friends to give her support. And the planet thing. And the animation was pretty fucking good.

Exo-Squad!

Most of the ones I watched were already listed but that one. There's more but damned if I can remember em.

Edaarin
05-31-2004, 02:20 AM
Hmm...Dinosaucers I think was one that I didn't mention in the other thread. I don't remember too much except it was like mini dinosaurs that could turn into bigger dinosaurs or something, and there was an episode that mimicked The Maltese Falcon.

Not a cartoon, but what was the show about the dinosaur family?

Was it called "Dinosaur!"?

The one where the baby said "Not the momma!" when he smacked his dad over the head with a frying pan.

Edaarin
05-31-2004, 02:26 AM
Damn the Denver the Last Dinosaur one sounds freakin familiar...but I can't put my finger on it...

And I thought that baby monster thing said "Knock the momma?"

As for cartoons:

Tom and Jerry
Chip n' Dale
Woody Woodpecker
Loony Tunes (in general but especially Roadrunner)
and while I've never been a huge anime fan, Starblazers.

I don't think I've seen these ones mentioned. Voltron and shit... I can't think of the name. I know in the early 80's there were the transformers and one other sorta like them. Robots that talked and crap. Anyone know what one I mean?

Disney - wonderful world of disney was in it's original run when I was a kid.

WB. <-- never seen it

Nickelodeon. <--never seen it

Prehistoric - I may be almost 50, but not prehistoric

Misc. - Looney Tunes

in the early sixties there weren't a lot of cartoons, but I think they were very well done. To this day I collect Disney, Chuck Jones, and Fritz Freleng original animation cels.

I just thought up a few more. David the Gnome. I think that was on Nickelodeon. Then as I got older I loved Ren and Stimpy along with Beavis and Butthead. Yes, I was an odd child while in highschool.

I was all about Nick when I was a kid... Eureka's Castle, The Elephant Show, David the Gnome, What Would You Do, The Secret World of Alex Mac, everything on SNICK (Are you afraid of the Dark, etc.) and this one show that I was probably the only person in the world to watch called The Tomorrow People.

Hmm... others included Power Rangers, TMNT, Darkwing Duck, Tiny Tunes, Sailor Moon... from age 3-6 or whatever I was into Care Bears hardcore.

Yeah that's all I can remember.

ROFL THANKS BOB. I didn't watch Allegra's Window though. That came out when I was like 12.

Scifi had some show where they had an Anime movie on every saturday that probably got me started (on anime), looking back. They had Iria/Zeiram, Green Legend Ran, Record of Lodoss War, nothing over the top. It seems like they were only marginally censored (although I was pretty young) so I can't imagine they were on in the morning. Hmmm.

Hmm. Wasn't cartoon.... but I dug Captain Power. Masters of the Universe, G.I. Joe, Transformers...the original animated Batman series before they added Robin and made it suck...Gummy Bears...Thundercats...

Now- Any decent anime. Rorounin Kenshin, Berserk, DBZ, Yu Yu, The Professional, Fist of the North Star, 3x3 Eyes...
