Search strings: 3 characters or more please

It would be really nice to be able to search for three-character strings. There are a lot of item-related acronyms that are three characters. Searches currently ignore strings under 4 characters. It's kind of crappy not being able to search for these terms (HCP for example). Thanks.

I agree with this but I'm sure there is a reason for it. LIke the memory problem when you search.

Pretty sure every time this comes up people will just tell you to use Google instead.

Yeah, google site search works to a certain extent and that's how I've always gone about it. It's some of the other search filters that you miss out on: searching for threads vs. posts, searching across specific categories, by user.

It would be nice, but until someone cares enough to actually implement stuff I don't see it happening.
