View Full Version : Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 just crapped out during exam week

Not that it's necessary, but it's a huge time-saver over the touch pad when I'm moving from model to model (Excel).

Green/red light flashing. It's discoverable. I've changed the batteries. It's just not showing up when I try to add a device. I've toyed with Bluetooth Support in services.msc, but that hasn't helped.

Short of buying a new mouse, any suggestions? The touchpad sucks.

Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling BT drivers? Are you on vista or windows 7.

A little late, but - CTRL Tab swaps between worksheets within excel, CTRL pgup/pgdn moves up/down the sheets.

Really? For me Ctrl+PgUp/PgDown changes sheets and PgUp/PgDn work normally for moving within pages of the sheet.

Sorry I wasn't more clear, ctrl pgup/pgdn cycles up and down the sheet tab is what I meant.

I wonder if Rob will post his exam results like Alex, so we can all be proud of him. I have nothing to add about the mouse, except that yes, Bluetooth sucks.

2 semesters per year. 3 terms per semester. exams at the end of each term. It's totally sadistic.
