The forums at GS4.org are like fireworks shops in June - they fit the need when demand is there. The forums were installed when PC was down those 2 weeks in January.

Most people use the chatterbox anyway, you'll get an answer quicker.

Not quite accurate, as GS4 was my sole idea and implementation alone. Devishal helped early on.

Devishal and Soffia left the site when I closed a thread in the forums. I'm not a fan of 50 reply threads or flame fests. He became ticked and left.

I rather enjoy the silence as that means I don't have to babysit.

Prudence is a real winner. I can take about twice to ten times as much shit as it would take an ordinary Great Lord to smite a turnip farmer. As far as Prudence goes though, I didn't know they stacked shit that high.

My site does not deal with in game politics, just mechanics. Leave the folks who have contributed out of it unless you contributed yourself.

Next time anyone gets the urge to post in "Yet Another Thread About Nothing," you can take the time it takes to type "OMG LOL" and add what a clear glass wand does to GS4 or a new sorcerer guide or whatever you know that isn't there and a lot of people don't know.

Helping out attracts new players to the game, and some of those folks may not be fuckstains! I have 1005 document pages. (http://www.gs4.org/index.php?pagename=AllPages&op=modload&name=pnPhpW iki&file=index) I'd bet thats more than Simu does.

I'm sorry, I don't care about documents, and Methais, Edaarin and I could probably answer any question anyone could have about any game mechanic in Gemstone off-hand. People here just don't have many mechanics questions, and most are answered promptly with good advice. Not sure what exactly my post is directed towards, but I feel there are a number of very knowledgeable people who post regularly here who can answer anything just as easily as the idiots who read the official boards.

Geez, and people say the PC and SR boards are at war. GS4.org is a great site for guides and such, but the message boards are pointless. If your looking to help people I would suggest saving the bandwith used for those forums and include more of what people expect from the site.

Truthfully, if I have a mechanic question I will ask it on the official boards or in game with a mentor. The majority that post on any of these unofficial boards are already Gemstone vets. I very much doubt any of the boards see real "newbies" all that frequently.
