Looking at the ;armor setup just wanted to verify that I'm reading it correctly.

Currently level 24 with 78 ranks in Armor. I know I'll get out of Man. issues at rank 80 but my question is casting. From reading the armor tables, without armor fluidity or Faith's Clarity, at 100 trains my Failure rate should be 10% with 100 ranks of training?

Let me know if I'm reading it right cause as it sits right now, I'm pulling 60% failure and that hurts with my lil mana pool.

Let us know what type of armor? but I'm guessing MBP. Once you have 90 ranks of armor you'll be at the minimum hinderance for paladin spell casting in MBP. You'll still never get a spirit spell off in MBP though - without the faith's clarity or armor fluidity.

EDIT: And I think minimum hinderance is 10%? without checking.

Ah yes, I am using MBP... Sorry for omitting that.

Not quite.

MBP (Paladin Base) minimum spell hindrance is 10%. The Armor Use skill formula to attain minimum hindrance is (20 skill * minimum hindrance %) - 10

(20 * 10) - 10 = 190 skill (90 ranks)

90 ranks = Armored Fluidity, Rank 3 (30%). After adjusting the armor, hindrance will decrease to 7%. ((10% - (10 * .3)

Now, it's not possible for you to have 60% hindrance in MBP with 178 skill unless you are wearing an armor accessory that has effectively increased the armor sub-group to something higher than MBP. Check to see if you are wearing an accessory which covers the arms, legs or head. If you remove the item your hindrance should drop to around 20% or less; the exact formula for calculating this value is not known.

MBP Hindrance for Paladin Base Spells up to 70 Armor Use skill (15 ranks). For the first 6 ranks there is no reduction.

AU Skill|| Ranks||Hindrance
0 to 30|| 1 - 6|| 90% Maximum
35||7||88%
40||8||85%
45||9||83%
50 ||10||80%
54 ||11||78%
58 ||12||76%
62 ||13||74%
66 ||14||72%
70 ||15||70%

Augmented Breastplate has a maximum hindrance of 92%. There is no reduction until rank 14 (66 skill). The hindrance then drops to 91% and to 88% with 15 ranks (70 skill).

Gotcha, the Warhelm (Covering head and neck) and my arm greaves are causing the issue then... Time to remove them I guess..
