I've done cash business with IW, with zero hiccups. While he may have a checkered past (and I can't understand his penchant for alternate PC names and drama-mongering), I've never had issue with him, through several mid-level transactions.

And... as others have pointed out... when you're the one selling, it's fairly straightforward. Transfer the gear off the character to a third party. Hand over username and password, but not security answer. Await payment for a pre-determined length of time (10-15 minutes or so). If no money shows, call Simu, get character back immediately, no harm no foul, lambast here on the boards, and move on.

I'd think you're more than safe to accept his bid, for whatever that's worth. You're mostly protected, and I believe he'd pay up without any drama at all.

For what it's worth he might be just fine when it comes to sales/transactions I've had no dealings with him and he certainly wasn't banned because of bad transactions or anything like that.

Durgrimst/Sheikh has proven that when selling or trading gear, make sure you get what is yours first, before giving anything away. Even the most trustworthy person can turn into a scammer.

I got in touch with Radom so we've established contact.. got a few items from him already..

i may be banned here but my merchanting record is flawless, except the time Buckwheet got mad at me for not selling him that 10x katana cuz i got a higher bid at the last minute (that was my bad and he can still collect the 1 million coin compensation I promised him just for being a jerk)
