Charge vs Trip

Any opinions and why? Is trip just a waste compared to charge?

charge destroys everything, whereas trip does not.

Charge is one of the deadlier cmans.

It has a longer rt than trip but can knock down, cause rt, stun, change stance, and cause damage/crit kill.
