Memorial Day/Weekend Plans

My plans are to do alot of nothing. I'm still trying to recover from this stomach ailment so I'll be spending alot of time at home.

I do plan and spending most of that time outside though, either in the pool or juggling or just taking a walk.

Well, that and I might hit up some good sales at the stores if my stomach cooperates.

What are your plans?

Last night we BBQ'd and watched the Phils at my friends house in the backyard and played some whiffle ball and horseshoes under the lights. Drank some beer in the process. Overall fun night.

Maybe going down the shore tonite, I'm not sure yet though.

Memorial day weekend = do something memorable...

My plan is to drive mi familia over to the local Japanese restaurant and order some tasty-ass unagi appetizer, maybe some beef negamaki, and a godsend ceramic flask of sake, followed by splitting of the bill after some polite arguing

I normally go down to my dad's lake house in NC w/ some other family members, but this weekend I'm just hanging around. Going to go to a BBQ tonight, and on Sunday I may head to Manasass for the Bug Out (I like old style VW's, and it's basically a big show, swap meet, and drag strip).

I'll probably be spending the weekend working on my school-related project (thesis paper deal) so I can ensure completion of my Masters degree.

Otherwise, it'll be outside, weeding and doing some other landscaping...

A coworker is having a party at his vacation house on Sunday so that's where I'm heading.

The rest of the weekend I'm going to relax and goof around. Not that I needed a special weekend to do that, but I like it nonetheless.

I use to head down to Manasass every year for Laos New Year's. That place is like...in the sticks of VA.

I might go clubbin' tonight. Then a BBQ maybe tomorrow or Monday. It all depends on the messed up weather we have here. Either way, Imma get my drink on. :)

I have Monday off which is cool. However, a coworker is coming over to pick me up early Monday (7 AM!!!!!) to teach me how to use a metal detector. It has been a hobby of his for six years and when he was talking about it I said something like 'Oh that sounds interesting'. Now I get to go dig in the dirt for pennies. Go me.

Actually it is something that sounds like it could be an interesting hobby. He has a thousand dollar detector that has a screen that tells you if it is a coin, pull tab, soda can etc so you dont waste time digging up trash. Unless you like trash. If I enjoy myself I might buy one myself. Hobbies are cool.

Today: drive back, see Kill Bill (v2, good ol' hick CT theaters give me the good stuff)

I'm officially pooped. Sat. went clubbin' with my friends. Sunday, we was suppose to go to a local bar, but my friends changed their mind, cos they was having some underground thing in Providence. So, we went, left at 4AM, the club wasn't closing until 12PM, so I wanted to hang out a lil' more, but they gave up, and so we left.

I slept for 6 hours, picked up my mom and drove to my brothers house for a cookout. I stuffed myself and saw my baby nephew Demitrius for the first time ever, cos I hardly see my family. He's the cutest thing ever! My other nephew Yanni got so chunky, lolz. That is totally from the Greek side of him.

So, did some archery with my friends son and my neices. It was cute teaching him, cos I love that little kid. He's such a brat, but he's so damn cute. After that, played croquett with my nephew and my best-friends neice Robin, they kicked my ass. Then, talked to my sisters for a bit.

Went back outside and played b- ball with all 4 of my nephews and had my 2 14 year old neices join in so we can bum rush the boys. It was fun until I realized 2 hours later that I was being eatin' up by mosquitos. My little 7 year old nephew was working me though. Good lord! For a shot little kid he can play ball, rofl. So, I cheated and just picked him up and grabbed the ball. Then I gave up and just tossed the ball around with baby Makailya.

So...I actually spend more time with the kids than the adults, lolz. I hardly ever see them, so I try to spend as much time as I can with all of them. Today was a good day, but I wish they had finger guards or I should've put tape around the tip of my right index finger. Now, it's starting to throb.

I'm done for the day though. I'm actually suppose to go over my boys house for another cook out and cocktails. But, I'm beat.

I had a truly awesome ass weekend. The highlight was having the most incredible sex that my girlfriend and I have had to date. We went to Six Flags which was pretty fun despite the idiotic horde of school age children flocking all around. We also went downtown and walked on the lake/beach and checked out the zoo. Yeah, we did some nerdy shit, but it was alot of fun. Sunday sucked outside because of all the rain, but that day was also the hightlight of my weekend. No work tomorrow too since I conveniently asked for this day off last month! Go me..also 4 days of no g.s. was pretty much needed.

The Halo party was a big success. I changed around Sunday and Monday.. slept yesterday and watched movies today.

Went metal detecting this morning. I didn't expect digging in the dirt would be so much fun. Found some cheap jewelry, about 20 dollars in coins and an old sheriffs badge. We were a bit worried we would find a body under the badge but luckily we did not. Anyway, I think I might buy my own detector. Not as fancy as his though. His tells you how deep to dig and what it is youre digging for.
