F1. Stargazing set: astrolabe pouch w/ astrolabe, star chart, & Liabo globe – CB: 500k bluecenterlight SOLD
a knotted jute astrolabe pouch – SA for several items, beltworn
an etched brass astrolabe
This complex instrument consists of a large brass disk hollowed out in the center and marked with degrees around the edge. Fitted into the hollow is a stack of small brass plates, one for each general latitude. Covering those is a pierced rete with pointers to a few of the brightest stars, and all the parts are kept together by a horse-headed pin through the center. The astrolabe can be suspended for measurements by a cord tied to a ring at the top.

>pull astrolabe
You remove the central pin from your etched brass astrolabe and take out the stack of brass plates. You shuffle them until the correct one is on top, then replace the stack inside the mater. A quick twist of the horse-headed pin secures the instrument once more.
>turn astrolabe
You spin the rete on your etched brass astrolabe until the pointers align with the stars found at this latitude.
>peer astrolabe
You study the shadow square and scales on the back of your etched brass astrolabe while working out a complex computation.
>nudge astrolabe
You set the rule to the sun's position on the ecliptic, then rotate the rete and rule together until you can read off the time of an upcoming celestial event.
>spin astrolabe
You swing your etched brass astrolabe from its cord and watch as it describes lazy circles in the air.
>lick astrolabe
You spit on the back of your etched brass astrolabe and briskly rub it clean, removing an unsightly smudge.

You carefully unroll your torn star chart.
>l chart
This large map is divided into four quadrants, each one with a circle depicting the sky during one of the four seasons. Fanciful drawings bring the constellations to life, while detailed notes list stellar magnitudes and important conjunctions and oppositions. A vibrant comet streaks through the center, and lunar phases are sketched in along the bottom margin.
>close chart
You roll up your torn star chart neatly, making sure the ends are even.

Ok, just checked out those greaves and here is what I'm getting from an assess and from a bardsong.

Assess:
You notice that custom fittings have been added to the greaves, making them resistant to puncturing attacks.

Bardsong:
As your song penetrates the leather leg greaves, you determine that it is incredibly resistant to puncturing attacks and incredibly resistant to natural attacks.

W3. a rune-carved raw mesille bow carved with a hook at each tip – MB: 250k

What is the base of this bow? Short/composite/long

And is it free from restrictions for alterations with the Analyze verb?

If it's a longbow and free from restrictions, then 250k on it.

Updated.

Here's the info on the raw mesille bow, it doesn't say what base it is so I'm gonna have to figure out some way to test it to determine. Will update once I know.

After a careful inspection you determine that a rune-carved raw mesille bow carved with a hook at each tip requires skill in ranged weapons to use effectively.

You determine that you could wear the bow, slinging it across your shoulders and back. The bow appears to serve some purpose.

It looks like this item has been mainly crafted out of mesille.

You analyze your raw mesille bow and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions.

You might be able to have a talented merchant lighten the raw mesille bow for you.

You assess the bow for structural weaknesses and strengths.

Careful examination indicates the raw mesille bow has a base strength of 55 and a base durability of 245. You also determine the current integrity of the raw mesille bow to be at 100.0%.

updated! Delivered items removed, a few more marked sold. Lots more to bid on if you want. Those with items to pickup, I'm sorry I haven't been around a lot during the day this weekend, it's been quite hectic. I'll be around more during the evenings this week though, so let's find each other.
