a pearl hafted ancient eonake mace - 4 pounds
As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the ancient eonake mace in your hand...
It has a bonus of +33 from a normal mace, and the way it vibrates in tune with your voice tells you that it requires skill in blunt weapons to use effectively. It also has some type of special ability, but you can't tell what yet.
As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the ancient eonake mace in your hand...
The harmonics generated tell you that the mace has been infused with the power of a lightning bolt and has been sanctified for use by a Cleric or Paladin in the fight against the undead.

Hmm, could someone compare & contract lightning flares versus fire flares, with respect to undead?
Are there more things immune to lightning, which does more damage, etc etc.

I'd blow kgolfer's bid out of the water if someone would like to (accurately) answer my question. Just saying.

As a whole undead are NOT more resistant to lightning then to fire. It's done on a creature by creature basis. Nothing that I'm aware of outside of Thunder Trolls are actually lightning immune. There's a number of creatures that are fire immune like fire mages (and fire weak - trolls). Unless you're talking void, vacuum, disintegration, or acid, there are just as many creatures resistant to each element as not.

Does Nelemar's anti-lightning effect trigger with flares, or only with spells?

I know little to nothing about blunt weapons or flare types.
However, I can tell you that the lighting flares I got hit with in OTF were annoying as hell.

Yes, lightning flares in water is a bad idea and lightning or fire flares is a bad idea in the gas pockets of the Bowels.
