This is a thread for those people who would like to show off the items they had done at the dhu. All or Some! Any! Show off your newly altered/scripted/auctioned/raffled/etc i
tems you got on the Dhu.

------
a pair of wickedly curved horns

The curved horns mimic the shape and size of an over-sized rolton's. Looking closely, you're able to see distinct age rings along the full curve. Adequately spaced, the massive sized horns form a magnificent tight curl behind the ears, around, and spiral back up past the cheeks of the wearer. The tips come to a razor-sharp point, facing out ready to strike any who stand in the way.

a branded rolton tattoo

Perfectly resembling a brand to keep track of wandering animals, the tattoo is done in standard blank ink. Years of exposure to the sun and harsh elements have faded the tattoo, but yet it still retains a recognizable image. Upon closer analysis you see the image of a circle with the words "100% Quality Rolton" centered over it.

a medic's wooden ale-cask
[ wearable LK flask ]
Resembling a miniature barrel the cask is lined with wood and reinforced by steel bands. A tap centered in the middle, allows quick access when haste is a crucial element in a dangerous situation.

a flea-infested midnight black kitten

The tiny kitten has a half-eaten coat of dark black fur, patches of its skin showing through, covered in scabs and mange. Fleas writhe about the little cat and large, engorged ticks dot its scrawny body. The kitten stares out at the world with pitiful grey-blue eyes and mews plaintively in a quiet, distraught voice.

a miniature button that says "100% Grade A Rolton"

He appears to be immature and tiny.
He has oversized, twinkling baby-blue eyes and immaculate pink-tinged white skin.
He has short, fluffy white hair curling in a woolly mass and tied with a blue ribbon with a small bell attached. [hair was done on the Spitfire ]
He has a plump face, a button nose and a pair of mismatched ears, the right one perks up and the left droops down.
He has some pudgy cheeks that emphasize a set of dimples.

I like all mine but this is my favorite:

>tap star
You tap a black edged veil iron star.
>l star
Neatly etched upon the surface of the star are the words, "If you must tease me about my name at least be original!"

Oh I'm so glad you got your horns made!

Reading the show on that kitten would have made me cry if I was having my "week of hell", so sad!

Mint, nicely done on the button. :)

Thanks Jesae. And were you talking about my star Jonty? I am having too much fun with it to sell it for a while anyway if you were.

I was talking to anyone who paid $70-$80 to go to the merchant.

I had a good time and can afford it so why does it concern you how I spend my money?

Uhh... I asked if it was worth it.... It's not that serious.... A yes or no would have been fine.

Edited to add: It's no one's concern, but you posted about it... so I asked about it.

worth it to me too!

I got a brilliant wedding gift for a friend which I can't show here. Ask me in the game and I'll show it off.

I got some cloaks and a quiver and some other clothing items. I got my yumi scripted. A lootbag, my hair, a portrait of me and my kittie, tattoo, and im just about ready to get my kitten altered. I got some other gifts for close friends in the game and I'm sure they will all like them. I had a good time, met some new friends, and didn't worry about being online every second of the week...I've just been relaxing about it.

Like Mint said...had the money, thought what the hell...Might go again the third trip...with another character.

Good lord 'n' butter I have no idea where to begin. Hm. Well, I got my pocketed hairsticks.. "a pair of obsidian-veined glazed porcelain hairsticks" that I can hide a stiletto in. And five or six new dresses. A new feature. Ten gift alterations for other people. But most of all... I got a lava-flaring halberd. That alone would have been worth it, even if I got nothing else.

Bad alter alert.

It can't go behind your ears if it's in your hand.

And how the hell is a curl magnificent?

Let's see... some of my favorite stuff that I had done...

*a series of intricately etched slender silver rings (earrings)
*an embroidered black damask reticule (show)
*a flowing black dupioni silk cloak clasped with a cluster of silver stars (consolation cloak)
*an epauletted crimson moire bodice with slashed ebon chiffon sleeves (bodice + sleeves from Mavikia)
*a full crimson moire skirt adorned with jagged swathes of ebon chiffon
*pair of sleek crimson leather boots graced with carved obsidian heels
*a pair of slender black silk sandals with delicate wooden heels
*a low-cut ruffled white taffeta ballgown patterned with vertical black stripes (Sleepy Hollow gown!)
*a paw-patterned silver silk sack reinforced with slender willow slats (kitten carrier)
*a blue-eyed fluffy black kitten (show)
*a high-waisted black damask gown with sheer floor-length trailing sleeves
*a long-line black hourglass corset (show)
*a choker of blue cowrie shells (show)

And a bunch of other stuff that I'm sure I'm forgetting... Oh, had her skin changed as well, to "flawless, creamy skin."

I say it wasn't worth it. I bought a ton of crap, none of which was all that great. If you just want alters or something, then you'd probably enjoy your time there more than I did.
