Is there something wrong with this shield, or am I simply overestimating the value of a 4x, spiked, +7 TD, medium sized shield?

Honestly...

Sadly. Probably 1-2m.

Sadly. Probably 1-2m.

Really?

Screw that, I'll just keep it and make some other character to use it that I'll probably rarely play.

I would go 2m, but yeah, 4m is more than I'd pay.

TD shields are not frequently valued highly because most of them, like yours, don't produce enough TD to make a notable difference for the user. That and there is still a glut of shields in general, years after GS4 sent all the pures fleeing from sword and board. If it were +10TD or more, you'd have a lot more interest.

That said, yours is actually one of the nicer critter drop TD shields I've seen.

Yeah, that's what *I* thought about it. Obviously I'm sorely out of touch with the shield market.

I figured the worst thing about it was that it was medium, and thus neither buckler nor tower.

Oh well. Thanks for the honesty. I'd rather know I'm being unreasonable than just watch what I thought was a decent item at what I thought was a decent price get no bites.

I think the problem is the main people who need TD that bad are squares, rogues warriors and monks.

Shield using warriors and rogues seem like an extreme minority these days. Most rogues I see are TWC or ranged. Warriors are all poles, thw, twc.

Monks are a figment of your imagination.

That all sounds reasonable, too.
