I'm saying it sucks because if you're alone too long then you start getting depressed and you think too much. Having people around gets your mind off of things.
But I MUST have time alone, don't get me wrong.
Same thing goes for romantic relationships. You can't be with the person 24 hours a day. You need time apart.

Being alone can be a good thing. Everyone needs time to themselves.
Being along can totally suck. We all need to be loved.
You left way too many options out of your poll.

I find I get the most love in when I am alone...

I value my alone time, mostly because I know that when I'm alone it's by choice.
When I wish to not be alone, a plethora of options awaits.

Being alone kicks ass at times. That's part of the reason I stay up late. My girl goes to bed at 11:30 or so, and I have *me* time until 2am or so. Listen to music, play some video games, watchin some TV without someone complaining about what's on. Nobody bothering me except the dog when she's bitching to go outside or come in.

Pour some nyquil in her coke. Then you're free when she goes to bed.

I agree that having an alone option is good. Having it forced upon you is something else entirely.

I absolutely CHERISH the times that I am alone. Wife and kids go to the east coast of Florida to see their friends a couple of times a year and I have to say... it's the weekend of ME.

Alone is a state of mind. I feel much more centered by myself than in situations involving lots of people.
But then again, I'm an INTJ

Being alone isn't bad. I don't get a lot of alone time, but it's pretty rocking when I do. I'm always either at school, with friends, or working.. But on the rare occassions that I get alone, I get to catch up on Chrono Trigger and BoF2 :-D
I wish I got more time to myself.. I havn't even logged onto GS for 5 days :(

That does make a huge difference in people. I'm an INTP and love being alone. But my Mom, who is an ESFJ, hates it. Being alone is like kryptonite to her.

I adore being alone. And since I'm not a talker if there's no one, silence is everywhere...
Musique and then...
ahhh, tranquility...

As someone who lived alone for many months, I grew pretty used to that lifestyle. Moving back in with people has been rocky to say the least. Fortunately, my siblings still had a month of school left when I got here and with my mom working, I got the whole days to myself. I have a habit of staying up through the night because it simulates the whole living alone thing. I guess I'm addicted to living alone.
BEING alone, however, isn't cool. I moved to San Antonio and didn't know anyone for 200 miles, excluding one friend who went to a different college in that city. It was tough starting over from scratch as far as friends and stuff go. I came out of the year pretty friend-ful, though. What can I say? I have a friendly demeanor. :D

I live for being alone but i think thats mainly cause i never am. Usually my gf is home with me and if not her two daughters and their bfs are. I think you yearn for what you dont usually get. If you're always alone than it seems horrible but if you never are it seems like a utopia when you get it.

Feeling alone is no fun. Being alone has it's moments.
