Cool, nice to see this being released. But my cleric is only 36!... time to go hunt I guess.

Ah, good call, Stry. This is definitely about Symbol of the Prostlyte (340) or whatever. Pretty sick Invasion/CvC spell.

Pretty decent spell any other time too, with sufficient blessing lore.

Posting these so I don't forget to find out answers...
- Is there any truncating/rounding on the blessing skill part of the charge formula? It truncates (the influence side is truncated and I suspect the wisdom side is as well)
- Can anyone use a symbol once it's been made? (it only works on spirit CS or bolt AS; is a sorcerer spell considered spirit CS?) Is everything based on the cleric creating the symbol? (IE: does a non-aligned person get a CS bonus against undead if a smite aligned cleric creates the symbol; I think this one has been answered)
- Can someone else empty a symbol, you recharge it during the hunt, and they keep using it or will the 10 minute timer come into play? The timer doesn't come into play
- Does the spell work fully with 316 and 135? Yes
- Do you get the +d50 bonus on all charges or only charges used that benefit from the alignment bonus? Yes
[EDIT: Nice.. a friend's car breaks down NOW so I can't attend the event.. oh well, I'm still unaligned so not like I can use the spell anyways ;) ]
Another question...
- If you have 1 charge left, and a differently trained cleric recharges it, do you refresh the existing stats or replace them? If you have 0 charges left?
- What happens if I give a symbol to someone else in the middle of using it? Is the timer per person or per symbol? Does it get reset at all? Giving the symbol to someone else, and having them use it, does not allow me to use a different symbol myself
- Does the AS bonus work with 117? Yes
* 316 + 340 currently is acting weird (no indication whether it's intentional or a bug yet) in that the TARGET of the spell determines the bonus for the entire cast (including casting 316 at yourself; IE: use a bane symbol, cast 316 at yourself, get the bane bonus against a room full of undead)

FYI...
XXX gestures at a painted blue driftwood Niima symbol inlaid with a silver dolphin.
XXX rests his hand atop his driftwood Niima symbol. An oscillating glow washes over his hand, and over the symbol, waxing and waning from silver to aquamarine, as if tidally locked into the shifting hues.
As the last of XXX's life energy is drained into the effort of blessing the symbol, he collapses!
* XXX drops dead at your feet!
An ethereal golden collection bowl drifts out of XXX, then vanishes.
XXX appears less confident.
XXX seems hesitant.
The brilliant aura fades away from XXX.
XXX's body decays into compost.

My guess is :
Casting the spell costs 2 spirit points. Maybe he wasn't keeping track of his spirit, and cast the spell too many times in quick succession.

Thanks Ceyrin!
Now.. using this in conjunction with 316 and 135.. that's not a bad combo since they're rarely used spells so you shouldn't be blowing through your charges that much in 10 minutes.

INF just got useful?
They want you to suffer now for sacrificing on one stat if you place it low.

Works for spells but not for melee/ranged/hurled weaponry? Why pretend this is about prosthelatizing when you've just precluded half the populace? I feel so unwanted by the gods.

I attempted to make just this point on the officials.
The consensus is that ARMS users are not worth converting. Sorry =(
I think rather this is meant just to be a buff for clerics to use for themselves, with the "converting others" hook just being for atmosphere. And they don't want to tip the physical as balances even further.

A neat function to this spell is that you cannot fumble, according to GM Estild, as a fumble results from rolling a 1 out of 100. Using 340 insures a minimum roll of 50, thus removing the chance entirely.
