What happened back there?

I'm lvl 67 and went to see how I fair in the Maaghara Labyrinth and this happened to me as I walked into a room with a shrickhen in it. Anyone know how to combat whatever immobilized me? Is this just an undead thing?

Undead do a major fear type thing, iirc. If you're too low level, they basically drop you into a state which is akin to offensive with no weapons out. This is just my recollection, which is admittedly outdated.

From what I see on Krakiipedia, they're level 76, 9 levels over your head, which I think is the threshold for this major fear. Might wanna wait a level or two.

There are also alchemy based talismans that you can wear to offset it.
