Has anyone else played this game? If so, I'd like to know your thoughts. Otherwise, I would highly recommend those with an Xbox try it out. Bastion is a downloadable game for the 360. It is an action RPG with a great story, awesome narration, and a unique style of graphics. Give it a try, I highly doubt you will be disappointed.

It is available for PC as well, you can download it on Steam.

Neat. Anything different between the two versions? I would recommend the steam version if your computer is fast as the 360 loadtimes can be a bit long.

PC version supports 1080p, 360 is 720p max.

This is the Closing Theme of the game. The music is quite haunting:

I tried a bit of the demo on steam last night. Looks cool, but I didn't like the clunkiness of the controls using the keyboard/mouse.

Had me go on youtube and search up the game it seems cool. But what Paradii said I wouldn't probably try out the game now.

I've played through the demo twice and I noticed the controls were a lot more comfortable the second time through. The demo is free, so I'd recommend giving that a try before making a decision.

I imagine you could use a controller to play it on the PC. I plan to do so with Witcher 2.

Though you may be right and what fallen said..I think I could give it a try sometime this month.

Specify what kind of controller to play? Or I could play with any kind of controller?

I use an X-box 360 controller with an adapter you can buy to play many PC games. I'm sure you could use a controller specifically made for PCs as well and save yourself a bit of cost (as I imagine you do not have an X-box to begin with)

That would work fine assuming you're familiar with the button mapping software which may need to be used. Hope you enjoy the game. I'd like to see what more people thought of it.

Button mapping on Logictech controllers can be a bitch sometimes. Fortunately, they often build it in. Though, you may want to update the drivers for your specific controller to ensure that's a possibility.
I had to set up my logitech for ES:4 Oblivion. That was a bitch, but ultimately more rewarding than playing using the mouse/keyboard.

Bastion definitely has support for a controller. I didn't check how it worked since I don't own one, though.

Bastion is 50% off today on Xbox's downloading service. If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend it.

Speaking of, I picked it up recently on Steam and was absolutely floored by it. One of the best game endings I've seen in a long time, and the soundtrack is just phenomenal. In fact, Bastion swept the soundtrack and song awards at the VGA's this year. I also highly recommend picking it up.

Ordered a signed copy as soon as it was available. Amazing stuff. Definitely play the game before purchasing.

Agreed. Don't listen to the Bastion music before you've played the game. The music is an integral part of the game, and if you listen to the music without the setting the game provides, you'll cheat yourself out of a lot of the impact the game will have.
