A freak thunderstorm on Saturday forced Pope Benedict XVI to cut short his speech to an estimated million young pilgrims gathered for the church's world youth festival, giving the outdoor prayer vigil at a Madrid airfield a dramatic climax.

During the day, firefighters atop fire trucks had sprayed the crowds with water from hoses, and pilgrims sought shade from umbrellas, trees, tarps...

The Emperor protects, but in the far future the pope is not the Ecclesiarch.

In fact, I think he'd be considered an apostate and be subject to a purging at the hands of the Adepta Sororitas.

Blasphemy. The Emperor is descended from a group of constantly reincarnating druids who, so far as I understand it, pooled their life forces to create him.

Plus, even if the pope is a nazi pope, he has got nothing on the way in which the Ordos Militant of the Ministorum crushes the heretic, the mutant, and the demon.

Did you ever sometimes stop to think "fuck, I am a nerd", because that's what is happening to me right now.

I'm a DE, Tau, and I.G. player... except I haven't picked up the new codex for I.G., so mine might be unplayable. Under the last codex they were light infantry, sniper based over heavy weapons based... fun as hell but effectively useless. I also have a small force of GK and Inquisitors, and my wife's Sisters (she never plays anymore, but paints occasionally) that I will probably do something with again, someday, but right now I am concentrating on rebuilding and repainted my DE, what with the new codex and all (fucking finally).
