Anyone actually find this stuff useful? We are talking about greaves, gauntlets, coifs, helms, aventails etc...

I know that if these things are enchanted, the bonus counts towards nothing.

The reason I ask is... neck crits always do me in. Will wearing say an aventail actually reduce the chances?

Uhh.. if you have no neck protection, and you cast spells, get better armor. Head/neck armor will turn full leather into double for hinderance, because only double is able to cover the head.

Oh, and yeah, wearing an aventail helps you with neck crits. Significantly.

Miscellaneous armor can be added to partial armor to increase ASG and/or coverage. Adding a helm to torso chain would turn it into pseudo-hauberk, with all the encumbrance but none of the extra coverage/AvD (well, except for head).
