Folks, I warn you. This news is contradictory to all laws of physics as well as those of the culinary arts.

Now being a great proponent and champion of the school of thought that believes that bacon improves every damn thing out there that's edible.

I decided to add bacon to a chicken soup recipe of mine.

I'm saddened beyond words to say the following...

Bacon made it worse!!!

I know, I know...Even typing those words causes pain to me, but it's true.

But I have NOT given up. I have now made it my personal intent to try using different types of bacon and prepping it in different ways until I can make this right!!!

I'm on a training diet and can only eat bacon once a week. It's very sad.

Bacon did not make the deep fried stick of butter taste better.

Try using pork belly in a chicken chowder ... not that I would know anything about that.

next time you should try your chicken soup and bacon recipe without all of that unnecessary chicken soup....

The bacon didn't make the soup worse, the soup made the bacon worse.

Should have just crumbled toasty bacon bits on top of the soup, probably would have worked much better.

I've tried a few bacon beers that were god awful. So, it's not an isolated incident.
