Most of us are in The Grass is Greener now, which is somehow the best Horde guild on the server right now. Wayne and I are both officers and can invite, just let us know.

I can't figure out whether I like the idea or not. There are good and bad points for both sides. I just think it's pretty weird to pull it out of nowhere like this.

I'm not so sure I like the idea that prot warriors will need to manage rage to activate their survival cooldowns. Hmmmmm, rage seems more finite a commodity than a prot paladin's mana, and, while a DK's is more limited resource pool, it regens in huge chunks.

They're basically making threat a non-issue and pushing tanks towards managing their survivability only. It's gonna make tanking super boring, at least for me - one of the things that made tanking so dynamic was having to manage threat on multiple targets at time.
They gave lots of reasons - not wanting to throttle dps, not wanting an undergeared tank in LFG to ruin the group, not wanting tanks to have three separate tasks to manage (survival cooldowns, threat, and not standing in shit). IOW, they're making tanking a thing even casuals can be competent at.

They could just base it off of holy power. But they'd probably need more ways to actually generate holy power first.

I played it when HoN got DDoS'd and the gameplay just felt so slow to me.

It is free now. There's a very large base of new players. Unfortunately, a lot of people (me included) make free accounts to dick around on and stomp newbies with. I try to help the new people on my team though.
Add SpiffyJr, IGATCHEW, Kandinator, or Freeskie and I'll play with you sometime.
