Fletching

Am I the only person who feels fletching is the Bobmuhtholest thing ever? After three days of scripting at least 10 hours per day, I managed to get about 487-488 ranks. I'm pretty happy with the end result, but arrows take too damn long to make.

It requires no skill in anything but the capability to type '.fletch'.

It might have something to do with me not being stupid. That script is pretty useless, anyway. I made a script that cuts, nocks, and throws the shaft away. When I started making perfect arrows with 0% chance of failure, I just made a script that does all the commands and keeps looping.

I didn't make the script you fucking tool. I made a script that was made specifically for a master of fletching with only the basic commands. You have to pause it and manually paint the shaft if you want it to be painted.

Only if you don't know what you're doing or know how to script well. If you want to get a nice script done, ask someone who knows what they're doing. I consider myself halfway decent in that with the help of Syrend and Porcell, I can now make pretty much anything I damn well please. So instead of making a jackass out of yourself with a crappy script, at least make sure you realize there's a damn lot you don't know.

i wrote my own script that does all the fletching. paints it and everything will go buy more glue, paint, fletchings if needed. now i have to add a section in my script for those scribers from the faire.

Are you claiming that with my script, if I know what I'm doing, I can paint my shaft without pausing it you fucking jackass? I'm sorry that you were born stupid. I was talking about the script I personally made for my own use in making plain arrows. I don't WANT a script that will optionally put paint on, therefore it's not in my script. I'm making another script to put paint on if I want it. Much easier than making one super script.

I also got a copy of the script we are talking about here. it crashed my wizard every time I started it. Friend of mine good at scripting and I put some effort into finding out the problem and we did.

When we figured out that problem (that was within the first couple lines of the script) I scrolled down a bit lower and saw another problem right away. I figured this script needed too much work fixing and I might as well just write my own from scratch.
