Hey there, gang.

I know it can be a pain when you come to a merchant and they take a long time. In two hours, I only was able to accommodate maybe a dozen people. This isn't always the case, and I don't want you to get discouraged by this kind of merchanting.

When I run Alouetta, 90% of the time, sometimes - like today - 100% of the time, everyone wants me to write the alteration. Each instrument that is handed to me is designed in the medieval style and that means that I have a web page opened at all times so that I can google the make and type of each instrument. This is so that I don't give a harp pegs, when they should have buzzing pray pins, or a mandolin a slim body when it should have a bowl or archtop.

I also write all of my designs in a word program and do my best to keep my attention split between the game, the web, and my word document. There are days I wish I had two screens.

I love playing Alouetta and I love working on instruments. I will make an effort to bring her around more often, but I wanted to make sure that you understood what went into the process of creating an instrument and why it sometimes seems like I'm not moving very fast at all.

~*~ Thandiwe ~*~
Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

When the PC pulled together to buy Lamar (jerk) Burton and Felicia Day tweets, I think something like $2000 was raised?

Anyone up for doing this for Thandiwe? A second monitor would be $150 or less, if she needs an upgrade to her video card, that's another $150 max.

WTF. Are GMs some kind of charity case? No.

By the way, put GS related posts in GS sections.

They should just let more people be minor alteration merchants.

More services, more chances to get stuff done, more happy players.

I mean really..is an alteration, lighten, deepen, or change 1 thing really that impacting to GS?

I don't think so. Let more players who want to, become real merchants with skills to do this.

Or, in towns you have something similar to premie scrolls, but for all players, where you can submit 1 alter per month per account.

Then when a GM has 15 minutes, they can approve a butt load of them or send them back if they don't fit.

Either way, there are a lot of options, and buying, 'bribing', a GM buy purchasing them a computer monitor is not the ethical route. Also, if you want more alters, just ask on the officials for their paypal email address, and then bribe them that way. I personally do not read the officials, but I hear that they love you over there Inspire...

She's incompetent because she has 1 monitor?

She's not asking for an additional monitor.. she's simply trying to make little bitchy retards like you to understand what she goes through on an alteration.

So, let me get this straight. She posted to explain why she can't whip through alters in 5 seconds flat. You picked one line in the post (that wasn't even part of the explanation, just a laugh alongside it) and decided to ask us for money. Do you really think that if we buy her a new monitor, she'll magically start banging out work fast enough to please the Gemstone community at large? Or are you just grasping at any straw you can find that might make a GM like you?

I think I missed it the first time through, but is Inspire really asking us to send him donations that he can forward to the gm in question?

If so, wow. That's crack whore ballsy.

I can think of no other demographic that might be more ballsy... except maybe those people who harvest prairie oysters.

I'm just curious here are you really comparing money donated to a charity to benefit the victims of the haitian earthquake to money you want donated to speed up alter sessions?
