Emislity is one of those more infamous names walking around Elanthia. I never cared much for her, but then again, until a few weeks ago, she has never bothered me.
I don't do very much socializing on my three toons, nor do I let people know who is behind each one. I did find it very interesting that this lady managed to annoy the shit out of me on 3 separate occasions on 3 separate characters. I didn't save any logs and I wish I had, I just found it amazing that she had the ability to annoy the shit out of me so bad, without me even trying to start an interaction with her.
Who else is particularly fond of Emilisty, or not fond maybe. She strikes me as a person who is always "judging" how you are roleplaying, as she had something specific to say to me about how I was playing each class I encountered her with.

I've gotten on fine with her in-game but I do notice she's in the middle of plenty of LNet arguments/drama. Whether that's her doing or not, I'm not sure, but she's usually involved somehow.

I like Emislity.
Lnet sucks because it makes you realize the quality of the people you're surrounded by. (Although not everyone is as sucky as a Ross or a Drew/Chivalrous.)
Funny you should talk about quality of people, Inspire. I don't really know Ross or Drew in game very well, but every time one of them they came across one of my guys in trouble, they have always helped. However, I don't even know who you are IG, so I shouldn't be judging too harshly.

I barely talk to anyone, I suppose you could say that is an detail of the way I RP. I thought her opinions were completely unfounded. The fact that it happened to all 3 toons I play in a short time really stuck a nerve. Who the hell is she, the RP guru? The way she spams Lnet with dumb bullshit would suggest otherwise.

Do you all remember her talking non stop about her GS wedding for about 3 months? Then when right after it happened, her IG husband quit playing GS. Then we heard about that for a few weeks. Sweet!

All i know is that she is (or used to proclaim to be) a phone sex operator, and she sells me nice chrism gems. Never actually interacted with her outside of LNet aside from sales... but if you google image search emislity you will indeed see some roast beast.

Dude, if you have fun RPing with her and her friends, then don't change your RP because you want validation here. Do what you want to do because you enjoy doing it, not because you want to fit in. You are much more likely to fit in while doing what you enjoy instead of trying to appeal to others.

I remember Emislity from way back. At the time, she was going out with a char named Thorrgrim. Used to bug me because my chars name was (and is) Thorngrim. All in all, the interactions I had with her, good and bad, were at least entertaining. I have no problems with her.
Then again, I have no clue what has happened since those days.
As an aside, people used to bitch and moan about this character and that, saying Gemstone would be so much better without this or that person. I prefer chaos and shit so it was all good to me...except when people went blatantly OOC or OOG. Then again, in the beginning, I was guilty of that. Live and learn. That would be back in '96 to '98 or so, when I thought that was basically how everyone played. Real RP'ers tended to avoid the normal crowds and stick to themselves, so it took me while (due to my tiny pea brain) to figure it out.
I hunted with her about 3 years ago a couple of times. She acted as though she'd only just begun to play the game as Ghostwind pointed out he had when he first started playing.
Except she was capped.

I just now realized that bards have a strange attraction for people who don't have a clue how to play the game. Dessedemona and Emislity being prime cases.

Warriors come to mind for me. Haashek, Warclaidhm, Teeo, Ath(shall not be named).. etc.
Granted a couple of them had some levels but that was just due to hunting badly for so long.

Nice, but stupid. Reminded me of Forsest Gump a bit. Last time I talked to him, he had just come home from the hospital. He told me that he was drinking himself until he passed out at his keyboard, every night. After going to the hospital three times for alcohol poisoning, he still didn't get the picture. I just assume he drank himself to death. Yay! Keep marijuana illegal because it's so much more dangerous.

LSD has since been replaced by LCDs, which are a more-costly yet still-usable way of seeing images of things that never existed. LCDs are a very potent liquid form of LSD being pushed by a notoriously shady subgroup of the IT community known as dealers, who (much like the LSD dealers before them) have a large number of users who are all hooked and eagerly waiting to download the latest fix. (The LCD form is also highly addictive as they have managed to eliminate the problem of tolerence, so it is still effective even after weeks of continuous use. this was not possible with the original LSD, tolerence making it useless after 2-4 days)
Just saving this for Interpol. Sent a few carbon copies out to a zoning committee in a neighboring state and floated a few message bottles down to Parks & Recreation.
